Sabonis Back in Lineup for Lithuania's Exhibition Win Over Angola

Pacers big man Domantas Sabonis overcame a bout with food poisoning and help lead the Lithuanian national team to a 91-56 exhibition win over Angola on Sunday in South Korea.

An ill Sabonis missed Saturday's 86-57 victory over South Korea, but he was back in the lineup a day later as Lithuania continues to prepare for the upcoming 2019 FIBA World Cup.

Sabonis was in the starting lineup and tallied seven points on 3-of-6 shooting and nine rebounds in Sunday's exhibition. Grizzlies center Jonas Valanciunas led Lithuania with 16 points and 12 boards in the dominant victory.

Lithuania will play one more exhibition on Tuesday against the Czech Republic before traveling to China. They open the World Cup on Sept. 1 against Senegal in Dongguan.

Lithuania enters the World Cup sixth in the FIBA World Rankings.

For Pacers fans hoping to see Sabonis square off against teammate Myles Turner and the United States, that matchup won't happen until the quarterfinals at the earliest.
