INDIANAPOLIS – NBA Commissioner Adam Silver joined Herb and Steve Simon, Pacers Sports & Entertainment executives, Mayor Joe Hogsett, and local leaders today to share updates regarding NBA All-Star 2024, next February’s long-anticipated global event that will bring the league’s best and brightest stars to Indianapolis. The announcement included updated economic and media impact projections of $320 million to the city, the return of the East vs. West NBA All-Star Game format, and the traditional four 12-minute quarters, as well as the selection of Christamore House as the joint Live, Learn and Play space for Indianapolis. The press conference also included additional information about anticipated visitors, ticket sales for fan events, and more.

PS&E Owner Steve Simon shared that tickets for NBA Crossover, the multi-day interactive fan event at the Indiana Convention Center, are on sale for fans to purchase, and a special 24-hour pre-sale offer for $24 tickets will run through Thursday. Tickets can be purchased at NBAevents.com.

Silver, Simon, and Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett all stressed that Indy’s NBA All-Star 2024 will be the most fan-friendly ever with more than 150,000 tickets to various events available to fans, an increase of more than 20% from past NBA All-Stars. The 73rd NBA All-Star Game, NBA Rising Stars, the NBA All-Star Practice and Media Day, and the HBCU Classic Presented by AT&T will all be held at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, while the Ruffles NBA All-Star Celebrity Game and the State Farm All-Star Saturday Night will be held at Lucas Oil Stadium. Tickets for all events will be on sale within 30 days at NBAevents.com or NBAexperiences.com, PS&E CEO Rick Fuson announced at the conclusion of the event.

Moreover, important community investments, like the joint Legacy Project between the NBA All-Star 2024 Host Committee and the NBA at Christamore House in Haughville, shine a light on the importance of giving back to communities in need. The NBA and the Indiana Pacers will unveil a new NBA Cares Live, Learn and Play Center at the Christamore House, inclusive of a refurbished basketball court, wellness space, and new STEM lab at their west side facility.

"Since the very early stages of planning to host NBA All-Star, we have worked with our incredible partners at the NBA to make these three days of events, right here on Indy’s homecourt, the most inclusive, fan-friendly, and community-centric NBA All-Star ever, and today’s announcement is a big step toward that goal,” said Simon. “Today’s exciting updates once again remind us of the global nature of this event and the way it will both drive significant economic activity and new visitors to our city and state."

Additionally, updated projections from Temple University Sports Industry Research Center, in partnership with the NBA All-Star 2024 Host Committee, PS&E, Visit Indy, and the Indiana Sports Corp, highlighted the significant number of visitors and amount of overall economic impact of this global event, which is expected to draw more than 125,000 visitors to Indiana.

“The NBA is a global game, and NBA All-Star is unique because it allows us to put our city on display for a truly international audience,” said Hogsett. “With a projected impact of more than $320 million and tens of thousands of new visitors to the Circle City, the ripple effects of hosting this incredible event will be felt well into the future.”

Finally, speakers also stressed that The Downtown Is The Court and The Fan Is The All-Star, noting that visitors to downtown during NBA All-Star 2024 for any of the games or surrounding events will be treated to a wide variety of sports, music, food, and arts experiences to fit every fan’s unique interests. In addition to Crossover and the various games and practices being held at Gainbridge Fieldhouse and Lucas Oil Stadium, downtown will be alive with activations and energy beginning Thursday, February 15, through the NBA All-Star Game on Sunday.
