INDIANAPOLIS –  Fans can begin earning instant prizes or points toward NBA All-Star 2024 tickets, merchandise, and more through the NBA All-Star 2024 Rewards Program, the Host Committee announced today. The program, available through the NBA Events App, rewards fans for supporting local businesses and is one way the NBA’s premier in-season global event drives economic impact in Indianapolis and throughout the state.

Last month, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver stressed the importance of making this year’s All-Star the most fan-friendly ever while Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett shared economic impact data for NBA All-Star 2024 during a press conference in Indianapolis. Mayor Hogsett pointed to updated projections from the Temple University Sports Industry Research Center, which anticipates a total event value of more than $320 million.

“We want every fan to experience the excitement of NBA All-Star 2024, and the NBA All-Star 2024 Rewards Program is a chance for everyone to win great prizes and be a part of this event while supporting the small businesses across the state,” said PS&E CEO Rick Fuson. “The impact of this event goes well beyond the basketball court, and we are proud to encourage fans to support so many of the wonderful local entrepreneurs we have here.”

Earning rewards points and instant prizes is easy, and fans should download the NBA Events App where the program itself is housed. On the app, they will access a map of all participating locations and can immediately begin accumulating points by visiting the business and checking in through the Rewards section. Additionally, the NBA Events App is the NBA’s one-stop spot for all things NBA All-Star 2024, meaning it is where fans can get the latest updates and information about the event.

Since Indiana businesses were invited to begin applying to participate in late July, more than 200 have already registered and are now available through the App. The program highlights a diverse set of consumer-facing businesses, including restaurants and bars, barber shops and salons, art galleries and event venues, and even some of the most iconic and legendary basketball hot-spots in communities across Indiana. All the participating organizations are Indiana-based, and so far, more than 70 percent identify as minority- and women-owned businesses.

“Since we tipped this program off in Chicago at NBA All-Star 2020, we have had nearly a thousand local businesses benefit and the program continues to grow,” said NBA Head of Global Event Strategy and Development Joey Graziano. “Indianapolis already has the most participating establishments of any NBA All-Star city, and we are excited about all the opportunities fans will have in the coming months to earn incredible prizes they can’t get anywhere else!”

Through the NBA All-Star 2024 Rewards Program, fans can enter to win prizes such as tickets to State Farm All-Star Saturday Night, the NBA All-Star Game and more by checking in via the NBA Events mobile app at participating businesses.
