Pacers leverage Mexico City to expand international fandom and bring together sports, entertainment, culture and corporate partners across two markets
INDIANAPOLIS (Nov. 3, 2026) – The Indiana Pacers are bringing the Gold Out Global, powered by Lucas Oil, to the NBA Mexico City Game 2026, with additional activations featuring WWE, Mexican lucha libre promotion AAA, and Cadillac Formula 1® Team.
The Pacers will face the Denver Nuggets Nov. 7 at Arena CDMX during Día de Muertos week in the team’s first regular-season game in Mexico City. Through partner collaborations, fan experiences and community initiatives, Pacers Sports & Entertainment is building connections between Indianapolis and Mexico City. The celebration will culminate on game night, when Pacers Gold Out T-shirts will be placed on seats throughout the arena, creating a sea of gold and bringing the Pacers’ signature game-day tradition to an international stage.
“Taking our Gold Out global is an opportunity to bring our brand and our partners into new markets in ways that are authentic, creative and engaging for fans,” said PS&E Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer Joey Graziano. “We’re connecting basketball with sports and entertainment properties while strengthening our ties to Indiana and building new connections in Mexico City, and our partners are an important part of bringing that experience to life.”
Lucas Oil powers fan engagement across Indy and Mexico City
Lucas Oil, the Pacers’ jersey patch partner, is powering Quest for Gold, the team’s multi-city scavenger hunt. First launched at the NBA Paris Game 2025, Quest for Gold is connecting fans in Indianapolis and Mexico City ahead of the Nov. 7 game.
The adventure launched Sunday, with daily clues and quests taking fans across Indianapolis Nov. 1–3 before moving to Mexico City Nov. 5–7. A gold Pacers-branded Volkswagen Beetle is serving as a mobile vault in both markets, leading fans to daily prizes, including autographed Pacers jerseys, game tickets and exclusive merchandise. Fans can register for Quest for Gold at PacersInMexicoCity.com to receive clues before they’re shared on the website and through Pacers social channels.
Lucas Oil and the Pacers tipped off the excitement with a surprise-and-delight activation in Indianapolis on Halloween. The team transformed a home in a popular trick-or-treating neighborhood into a golden beacon, surprising trick-or-treaters with Pacers giveaways.
Beyond Quest for Gold, Lucas Oil is supporting the Pacers’ growing connection with Spanish-speaking fans through Los Pacers, the team’s Spanish-language social channels on Facebook and Instagram, select Spanish-language content on Pacers.com, local Spanish-language broadcasts of 10 home games, and Math Hoops programming with local students in Mexico City. In Indianapolis, Lucas Oil will also present the Nov. 2 Mexico City-themed game night at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. These efforts come as Indianapolis’ Latino community and the Pacers’ Latino fanbase continue to grow, with Latino residents now making up roughly 16% of Marion County’s population.
Pacers, WWE and AAA take their partnership international
Building on PS&E’s longstanding relationship with WWE, the Pacers will bring an exclusive collaboration with WWE and AAA, the Mexican lucha libre promotion, to Mexico City.
The activation will feature AAA Mega Champion El Grande Americano and a limited-edition, player- and talent-exclusive T-shirt collection designed by PS&E Global Design and Product Director Jas Bell in collaboration with WWE’s creative team for Pacers players and select WWE talent. The team is also planning another limited-edition, high-heat merchandise release, which will be available to fans later this season. The collaboration will come to life through a Pacers shop-in-shop at LUST, a Mexico City sneaker and streetwear destination, featuring exclusive WWE merchandise. The Pacers will also host a private event at LUST with WWE talent and TKO executives.
The collaboration builds on a longstanding relationship highlighted by events at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, most notably WWE’s first-ever Wrestlepalooza Premium Live Event in 2025. Haliburton’s longtime fandom has extended to television appearances and wearing throwback HHH gear upon arriving for the Pacers’ season opener. The team also plans to host a WWE-themed game night in Indianapolis.
Pacers, Cadillac Formula 1® Team connect global sports audiences
The Pacers will collaborate with the Cadillac Formula 1® Team – America’s new Formula 1® team making a home in Indianapolis – as the team competed in the Mexico City Grand Prix before the Pacers arrive.
Planned activations include content tied to Mexican driver Sergio “Checo” Pérez and his 300th Grand Prix start, along with an exchange of a Pacers jersey and racing helmet. The collaboration adds to a broader two-week celebration of Indianapolis sports and the global reach of the NBA and Formula 1®.
Pacers connect cultures through art and community
The Pacers are further extending the Mexico City experience beyond the court through street art, merchandise, cultural programming and community investment. In collaboration with local Mexican artists, the organization is bringing Pacers-inspired murals to Mexico City, creating a visible, lasting connection between the team and the communities welcoming it.
A new high-heat Pacers CDMX merchandise collection inspired by the team, Mexican culture and Día de Muertos features artwork by Bell and is available through the Pacers team store and online. Several items from the capsule collection sold out within hours and only limited quantities remain.
In Indianapolis, the Pacers Foundation recently revitalized a community basketball court at Grassy Creek Park on the city’s near east side, incorporating Los Pacers branding. Additional PS&E programming includes a free screening of Disney Pixar’s Coco at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, a local watch party for the Mexico City game, and the return of Noche Éne Bé A, the Pacers’ Hispanic and Latino heritage theme night.
