Pacers Tip Off New Season with 2016 Media Day

The 2016-17 Indiana Pacers season — the 50th season of Pacers basketball — officially tipped off with Media Day on Monday morning at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. All 19 players on the Pacers' training camp roster were on hand for Media Day, along with coaches and front office executives.

New Pacers head coach Nate McMillan addressed the media in a press conference at 10:30 AM, and All-Star forward Paul George held his own press conference at 11:00 AM. Later in the morning, Pacers radio broadcasters Pat Boylan and Mark Boyle hosted a one-hour Pacers.com Media Day Live Show on the main court, interviewing most players on the 2016-17 roster.

We also had expansive coverage of Media Day on all of our social media channels. Be sure to check us out on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat (indianapacers) to catch up on the action.

After Media Day, the Pacers will open training camp with their first official practice on Tuesday, Sept. 27. Their first preseason game is at New Orleans on Oct. 4 and they open the regular season by hosting the Dallas Mavericks on Oct. 26. Single game tickets for the 2016-17 season will go on sale on Thursday, Sept. 29 at 10:00 AM. Single Game Ticket Info »
