Averaging 24 points per game and over 10 rebounds, the 21-year-old forward continues to reimagine the role of a front court player. In just his third season, Davis has been as good as advertised when he was selected with the number one overall pick in the 2012 Draft. The Pelicans have surprised some by competing for a playoff spot in the historically difficult Western Conference, and are currently just one game out of the playoff picture. A large part of that is due to Davis, whose 31.9 player efficiency rating (PER) is tops in the NBA, according to ESPN.com
