After five days and three games in Las Vegas, your Denver Nuggets finished the preliminary round with a 1-2 record. Now, we have to regroup and face the D-League Select team in the first round of elimination play.
The results obviously aren’t what we were hoping for, but we’ve just got to buckle-down and try to come in, get a win and keep advancing.
Tuesday’s s loss against Utah was a tough one all around. We couldn’t buy a bucket on the offensive end, especially from 3-point range. More frustrating than that was how we looked on the defensive end. We didn’t follow through with what our coaches were telling us to do and just didn’t get the stops we needed any time we managed to get within striking distance.
We all need to get some good rest, show up for shootaround focused and ready to go Wednesday morning, and then take all that preparation and translate it to the court.
Tune in Wednesday night as the tournament kicks off. Hopefully we will respond to these last two losses like we need to.
