DENVER NUGGETS SIGN BRIMAH, TONEY AND PICKETT

Nuggets Also Waive Franklin, Funk and Boum 

DENVER, October 13, 2023 – The Denver Nuggets have signed center Amida Brimah, forward Au’Diese Toney and Jamorko Pickett to contracts, General Manager Calvin Booth announced today. In a related move, the team has also requested waivers on Armaan FranklinAndrew Funk and Souley Boum.

Brimah, 6-11, 230, played four years at the University of Connecticut before spending three seasons in the G League with Austin and Fort Wayne. His last two years saw him competing on the international stage with JL Bourg-en-Bresse of the French League and Telenet BC of the Basketball Champions League in Europe. He appeared in five regular season games for the Indiana Pacers in 2020-21, averaging 2.6 points, 1.6 rebounds and 1.00 blocks in 5.9 minutes per game.

Toney, 6-6, 205, spent the 2022-23 season with the Lakefield Magic of the G League, appearing in 46 games (18 starts) and averaging 7.2 points and 4.0 rebounds in 21.0 minutes per game. Toney played his final collegiate season for Arkansas in 2021-22 after spending his first three college years at Pittsburgh.

Pickett, 6-9, 205, spent his last two years playing in the G League, appearing in 25 games (21 starts) for the Cleveland charge in 2022-23 and in 17 games (16 starts) for the Motor City Cruise in 2021-22. Overall he appeared in 42 games (37 starts) in the G league, averaging 16.8 points, 6.6 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.26 steals in 33.2 minutes per game. Pickett played four years at Georgetown from 2017 to 2021, averaging 9.5 points and 1.5 assists in 29.0 minutes per game.
