On the eve of opening night of the NBA’s 78th season, join fans around the world in celebrating the game by rocking your favorite NBA jersey.


With NBA Jersey Day on Oct. 23, fans need to decide which jersey to choose from their existing collection.

It has been more than three months since the Denver Nuggets won their first NBA championship to complete the 2022-23 season. After an eventful offseason, the anticipation for the 2023-24 season is growing. Preseason games are underway and opening night, Oct. 24, is right around the corner.

To build on that excitement, the league will hold its fourth annual NBA Jersey Day on Oct. 23, encouraging fans around the world to celebrate their favorite players and teams by wearing their favorite jersey on the eve of opening night.

Fans can participate by following these steps:

  • Share a photo of yourself, your friends or your family in a WNBA, NBA or G League jersey of any era on social media.
  • Use the hashtag #NBAJerseyDay.
  • Tag your favorite teams and players for a chance to be featured on league and team social media channels, or the NBA App.

With NBA Jersey Day on Oct. 23, fans have two weeks to decide which jersey to choose from; whether this is from their existing collection, or they add a new jersey to the rotation for the upcoming season. Maybe your favorite player switched teams in the offseason — Bradley Beal went the Phoenix Suns, Marcus Smart is on the Memphis Grizzlies, Chris Paul was traded to the Golden State Warriors, Kristaps Porzingis went to the Boston Celtics, Damian Lillard went to the Milwaukee Bucks and more. Don’t worry, you can grab their jersey in time for the celebration.

For fans who may want to match their favorite teams and players, the NBA’s LockerVision website will be releasing the uniforms all 30 teams will be wearing through the first half of the upcoming season on Oct. 23 in celebration of NBA Jersey Day.
