NBA 2K23 Summer League: Raptors secure 20-point win over 76ers

The Raptors finish on a 20-2 run to prevail against the Sixers on Saturday.

The NBA 2K23 Summer League 2022 takes place July 7-17 at the Thomas & Mack Center and Cox Pavilion on the campus of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

The Toronto Raptors defeated the Philadelphia 76ers, 97-77, in the NBA 2K23 Summer League at Cox Pavilion on Saturday.

There were five ties and 10 lead changes in this game, but Toronto rode a 26-7 fourth quarter to their win. It was a 77-75 game with 6:46 remaining, but the Raptors finished the game on a 20-2 run to prevail. Toronto won the turnover battle, 25-17, thanks to their 15 steals. They also shot 24-for-27 from the free-throw line while the Sixers connected on just 13-for-22. In addition, Toronto outscored Philly in second-chance points, 18-0.

The Raptors (1-0) were led by Armoni Brooks, who provided 25 points, seven rebounds and two assists off the bench. Dalano Banton led the starters with 21 points, seven rebounds and five assists. Christian Koloko had 12 points, seven rebounds, two assists, three steals and three blocks, while Jeff Dowtin amassed 13 points, nine assists and two steals.

The Sixers (0-1) had just one player reach double figures in scoring, with Isaiah Joe leading the team with 24 points, three rebounds, four assists and two steals. Cassius Winston totaled nine points, two rebounds and seven assists. Trevelin Queen led the bench with nine points and three rebounds.

On deck for Philly is a matchup with the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday. As for Toronto, they return to action on Tuesday against the Chicago Bulls.
