Jayson Tatum (knee) misses exhibition against Argentina

The Boston Celtics star missed Tuesday's 108-80 win and is considered day-to-day with his injury.

Team USA forward Jayson Tatum is dealing with knee soreness.

Jayson Tatum has been ruled out for USA’s third exhibition game against Argentina on Tuesday because of soreness in his right knee.

The NBA All-Star is considered day-to-day.

Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal each scored 17 points and the Americans took control from the outset, beating Argentina 108-80 in Las Vegas on Tuesday to avoid what would have been the first three-game losing streak in this era of NBA players being able to represent USA Basketball on the international stage.

Tatum played in the first two exhibition games in Las Vegas, averaging 13.5 points and five rebounds in roughly 27 minutes of action.

Team USA will play again on Friday against Australia before wrapping up the exhibition period on Sunday against Spain. The Tokyo Olympics will begin on July 25, with USA taking on France.
