LAS VEGAS — The Atlanta Hawks defeated the Chicago Bulls 101-93 in the Las Vegas Summer League at Cox Pavilion on Tuesday.

This game was full of fluctuations, including a 30-point swing between the second and fourth quarters. Atlanta took control in the second and third quarters, outscoring Chicago 59-38. That stretch allowed them to overcome a 19-point deficit in the first half, which marks one of the largest blown leads in this year’s summer league.

The Hawks actually held the lead for the final 15 minutes of action and the Bulls never got within a four-point margin in the final quarter. Turnovers really killed the Bulls, as the Hawks won that battle 15-9 while taking 10 more shots than Chicago. Three-point shooting was also critical, with Atlanta connecting on 14-of-35 from long range.

The Hawks (1-2) were led by Trae Young, who tallied 24 points, five assists and two steals. Jaylen Adams was huge off the bench, providing 23 points, four rebounds and two assists on 8-of-12 shooting. Jaylen Morris finished with 17 points and six boards, while Omari Spellman collected 10 points, 10 rebounds and four assists.

The Bulls (1-2) got matching 23-point efforts out of Wendell Carter Jr. and Antonio Blakeney. Carter Jr. added six rebounds, two assists and two blocks on 9-of-13 shooting to his tally, while Blakeney provided an additional five rebounds and five assists. Kaiser Gates was the only other Chicago player in double figures, as he led the bench with 14 points, two rebounds and two assists.
