LeBron James with the layup in NBA All-Star 2023

LeBron’s Focused on Next 23 Games After Playing in 19th All-Star Game

In his 20th season, LeBron James attended this year’s 2023 All-Star Game in Salt Lake City, Utah. He’s been captain the past six-years. Team LBJ now stands 5-1 against his opponent after falling to Team Giannis (Antetokounmpo) in this year’s game, 184-175.

Outside of the game, Lakers Legend, Pau Gasol, was honored with the Kobe & Gigi Bryant WNBA Advocacy Award.

In his 19th NBA All-Star Game, the King had 13 points and four assists— not including the lob to himself off the backboard in the first quarter.

After a strong 14 minutes, LeBron went up for a block from behind in the second quarter and ended up catching his right hand against the rim. He did not return to the game in the second half but said that “it was just for cautionary reasons [he] decided to take the rest of the game off.”

As the end of the regular season nears for the Lakers, James looks at the last slate of games as “the 23 most important games of my career.”
