Grizzlies cruise past Pistons, 95-88

The Grizzlies defeated the Detroit Pistons in a 96-88 match at FedExForum, improving to a 9-1 record, remaining undefeated at home (5-0), and continuing their home-winning streak at 19 consecutive regular season victories. The Grizzlies currently own the best record in the NBA and have tied the best start in franchise history (2012-13).

Powered by dynamic duo Marc Gasol and Zach Randolph, the two combined for 40 of the team's 95 points. Gasol scored a team-best 23 points in 38 minutes. Randolph finished with his eighth double-double of the season, scoring 17 points and dominated the boards with a season-high 22, including a franchise-record and career-high 13 offensive rebounds.

The Grizzlies played tenacious defense tonight, holding the Pistons to 88 points. This marks the seventh game the Grizzlies have held their opponents points under 100 points.

The Grizzlies will tip-off again on Monday, Nov. 17 at FedExForum in a Western Conference showdown against the Houston Rockets, who fall in a close second place just behind the Grizzlies with a record of 8-1. The Grizzlies remain undefeated in the Western Conference.
