Memphis Grizzlies to host third annual Grizz Gala presented by Gold Strike Casino Resort & First Tennessee Bank on Friday, April 13

MEMPHIS, February 20, 2012— The Memphis Grizzlies are inviting fans from across the Mid-South to join them as they take their moves from the hardwood to the dance floor for the Third Annual Grizz Gala, presented by Gold Strike Casino Resort and First Tennessee Bank. The event will take place at Gold Strike Casino Resort in Tunica on Friday, April 13 from 6-11 p.m.  All proceeds from this event benefit Memphis Grizzlies House at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®.

The blue tie affair will give fans a chance to take part in an evening that brings the class and excitement that the Memphis Grizzlies represent on the court and in the community.  Gold Strike Casino Resort’s world-class culinary team will prepare a delectable menu of heavy hors d’oeuvres that attendees can enjoy with Rudy Gay, Tony Allen, O.J. Mayo and other team members. Throughout the evening an open bar will be available to guests who will also have an opportunity to meet and participate in interactive games with Marc Gasol, Zach Randolph, Mike Conley and the rest of the Grizzlies roster and coaches.

Grizz Gala guests will also have the opportunity to take part in a live and silent auction with one of the most impressive collections of sports memorabilia and one-of-a-kind fan experiences in Grizzlies fundraising history. Proceeds from the Grizz Gala will support Memphis Grizzlies House located on the campus of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. 

Opened in 2004, Memphis Grizzlies House is a short-term housing facility located on the campus of St. Jude. Memphis Grizzlies House can accommodate up to 100 St. Jude families and features an enclosed playground, fitness room and basketball court.

Organizations and individuals alike are encouraged to take part in an evening that supports the life saving work conducted at St. Jude. Individual general admission tickets are available for $150 each. A special discount package is available for $1,250 and includes 10 general admission tickets, a savings of $25 per ticket.
