• Brown was born March 5, 2000 in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Brown’s oldest brother, Nick, played basketball for William Penn University. Brown played basketball at Belleville High School in Belleville, Michigan. He didn’t make the varsity team as a sophomore but was promoted for the final eight games. As a junior, he averaged 15.9 points and 5.7 rebounds. As a senior, he averaged 18.6 points, 5.7 rebounds and 2.1 assists. Brown was a four-star recruit and committed to Michigan State.

• As a freshman at Michigan State, he appeared in 32 games and averaged 2.3 points and 1.2 rebounds in 8.0 minutes. As a sophomore, he started 16 of his 31 appearances and averaged 6.8 points and 3.6 rebounds in 21.9 minutes.
