Summer League Recap Clippers vs. Wizards

The Clippers defeated the Washington Wizards, 90-72, Tuesday night at Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.

The Clippers, who are now 2-1 in Summer League play, took control of the matchup at the end of the first quarter and held the lead throughout the remaining three quarters of play. The Clippers dominated from beyond the arc, shooting 56 percent from three-point range to the Wizards’ 22.2 percent. Rebounding and ball movement were crucial in the campaign, with the Clippers grabbing 14 more boards than the Wizards and tallying nine more assists.

Terance Mann recorded a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds while also adding nine assists, one steal and one block. He was seven of nine from the field and made his only three-point attempt. Mfiondu Kabengele finished with 13 points, seven rebounds and four blocks. Jerome Robinson led all scorers with 17 points and Amir Coffey added 15.

The Wizards had only two players reach double-figures. Admiral Schofield had 16 points and five rebounds while Moritz Wagner added 13 points and six rebounds.

Next, the Clippers face the Sacramento Kings on July 11, at 7:00 p.m. PT at Cox Pavilion in their final opening round contest of Summer League play. The game will air on NBATV.
