L.A. Clippers Sign Justin Bibbs to 10-Day Contract
The L.A. Clippers have signed guard Justin Bibbs to a 10-day contract, it was announced today by President of Basketball Operations Lawrence Frank. Per team policy, terms of the agreement were not released.
Bibbs, 23, appeared in 44 games (30 starts) for the Maine Red Claws, the G League affiliate of the Boston Celtics, and averaged 11.8 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.6 assists in 30.0 minutes. He appeared in six games for Boston at the 2018 NBA Summer League in Las Vegas and averaged 5.0 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 17.8 minutes, and spent training camp with the Celtics prior to joining the Red Claws. A native of Dayton, Ohio, the 6’5”, 220-pound guard played four seasons at Virginia Tech and holds collegiate career averages of 11.4 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.5 assists, while shooting 45.1 percent from the field and 42.4 percent from three-point range across 128 appearances (116 starts).
