L.A. Clippers and Mister Cartoon Launch Limited Edition Merchandise to Benefit the Mayor’s Fund for Covid-19 Relief
The L.A. Clippers have collaborated with L.A. icon Mister Cartoon to release a limited edition L.A. Relief merchandise collection, with 100% of proceeds going to the Mayor’s Fund for Los Angeles. Money raised will support emergency relief for the COVID-19 crisis and essential needs such as childcare and meals for the neediest, relief and counseling for frontline healthcare workers, critical healthcare equipment, and services for L.A.’s homeless population.
The black and white L.A. Relief Collection was designed in partnership with Cartoon and features his signature Old English font on a hooded sweatshirt and two T-shirts. One shirt displays the Clippers’ “We Over Me” mantra on the front, inspiring Clipper Nation to share their L.A. pride and support relief for fellow Angelenos.
“During these times, the strength of our community has never been more evident or more important,” said Gillian Zucker, L.A. Clippers President of Business Operations. “We are excited to partner once again with Mister Cartoon, an artist with a deep passion for Angelenos, who has made a profound impact on Los Angeles for decades and looks to do so once again by celebrating our collective strength.”
“I’m proud to continue my partnership with the Clippers on such a special and important project, benefiting those directly affected by this pandemic,” said Mister Cartoon. “Big thanks to all the people on the front line, the essential workers, giving it their all.”
The L.A. Relief Collection builds off of the Clippers’ “Los Angeles Collection” collaboration with Mister Cartoon from the start of the season and the Clippers’ 2019-20 City Edition jersey, which featured the Los Angeles wordmark inspired by Cartoon’s hand-rendered style and celebrates the authentic spirit of L.A. street culture.
