CLEVELAND, Ohio – Raja Bell informed Northeast Ohio Media Group that he's leaving his position with the Cavaliers as Director of Player Administration to spend time with family.

"I had so much fun with those boys and the Cavaliers' organization, but it was just time to be with my family," Bell told NEOMG. "It was the right thing to do right now, but I definitely enjoyed my time there."

The 2014-15 season was Bell's first year with the club after a 12-year NBA career.

He was the team official who informed Dion Waiters in his hometown of Philadelphia before a game against the Sixers that he was being traded to Oklahoma City. Waiters was scheduled to start that night, and Bell had to escort him off the court and lead him to the locker room. - CLICK HERE to read full story.

The Show on the Road

Cozy Confines

In less than a month, the Wine and Gold will not only be back to work, they’ll have already taken their show on the road – opening against Atlanta at the Cintas Center in Cincy before their first actual road game against the Sixers on October 8 at the Wells Fargo Center.

Normally, I write Cavs.com pieces in the royal “we.” But this piece is about my personal observations from the road. I’m sure the rest of the Cavaliers traveling caravan have their own.

I’ve been blessed to have a job that allows me to travel to every arena in the NBA. (Sadly, I’ve never been to any arena other than Browns Stadium in the NFL. And I’ve only seen a handful of MLB games in ballparks that weren’t Progressive Field. I’ll bet the great Andre Knott could spin some incredible tales from both.) - CLICK HERE to read full story.

Akron school board debates $15,000 thank-you message to LeBron James
Author: Doug Livingston
Publication: Akron Beacon Journal

The Akron school board delayed approval of a $15,000 advertisement designed to thank LeBron James.

The board said it did not want to look ungrateful for the millions of dollars and priceless inspiration LeBron has given to students in Akron, where he grew up. But they did say they would like to see the advertisement before it runs in the Cleveland Cavaliers yearbook.

“I surely would not want to put a stop to anything that would honor LeBron James,” said the Rev. Curtis Walker, the longest-serving member on the board. “I just want to look at it if the world is going to look at it.” - CLICK HERE to read full story.
