Rip City Remix Announce 2023-24 Regular Season Schedule

PORTLAND, Ore. (September 5, 2023) Rip City Remix will tip off their inaugural regular season at the South Bay Lakers on Friday, November 10 before returning to the Chiles Center for their first home opener against South Bay on Friday, November 17, it was announced today by the G League.

The Remix, the NBA G League affiliate of the Portland Trail Blazers, will start the season out on a three-game road trip in the state of California as they will begin with a back-to-back matchup with South Bay before finishing the road trip at Ontario (Nov. 13). Opening weekend at home will offer games at the Chiles Center against South Bay (Nov. 17) and Ontario (Nov. 18).

For the 2023-24 season, the NBA G League is keeping its innovative season structure that features the Showcase Cup, a 16-game competition concluding at the NBA G League Winter Showcase. Teams will be separated into four regional pods where they will play 14 games against one another in NBA G League markets. Teams with the best winning-percentage in each regional pod, as well as the teams with the next four best win-percentages across the league, will go on to play for the Showcase Cup. These top eight teams will compete at NBA G League Winter Showcase in a tournament-style, single-elimination competition with the winners and runners-up receiving money from a predetermined prize pool. Teams that do not qualify for the Showcase Cup will still play two games at the Winter Showcase.

During Showcase play, the Remix will have post-Thanksgiving Day matchups at home against Salt Lake City (Nov. 24 and Nov. 26), back-to-back games at Santa Cruz (Dec. 1 and Dec. 2), and then will return home vs. Stockton (Dec. 7 and Dec. 9). Prior to the Winter Showcase, Rip City will take on G League Ignite on the road, in their first meeting of the season (Dec. 12 and Dec. 14).

Following the Showcase Cup and Winter Showcase, all NBA G League records will reset at the start of the 34-game regular season. Rip City will play 17 home games and 17 games on the road. The regular season will tip off at Stockton Arena against the Stockton Kings on Thursday, December 28. The Remix will then return home and open the regular season vs. Delaware on Saturday, December 30 for an afternoon showdown.

Rip City will begin the New Year on the road with matchups at Salt Lake City (Jan. 4) and an international trip to Mexico City to take on the Capitanes (Jan. 6 and Jan. 7). January also brings home matchups against Oklahoma City (Jan. 14 and Jan. 15) along with G League Ignite’s first ever visit to the Chiles Center (Jan. 22 and Jan. 24). The longest homestand of the season will take place after the All-Star break with seven straight games beginning with a matchup with Raptors 905 (Feb. 27), followed by faceoffs with Memphis (March 3 and March 4), Texas (March 10 and March 12) and concluding with South Bay (March 15).

The 2023-24 campaign will end with home games vs. Santa Cruz (March 29 and March 30). At the conclusion of the regular season play, the top six teams in each conference will continue to the NBA G League Playoffs.
