Morris averaged 11 points on 45-percent shooting, including a career-best 39.7 from 3-point range, in 44 appearances with the Pistons before they agreed to part ways on Friday.
To clear room, the team will reportedly waive center DeMarcus Cousins, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski and Ramona Shelbourne. Cousins tore his ACL during the summer and has yet to suit up for L.A. Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports soon added that Cousins had been informed on Thursday and will continue rehab.
