Warriors to Register 150th Consecutive Sellout at Oracle Arena Tomorrow

Established 1946 | 7-time NBA Champions

With a capacity crowd of 19,596 expected to enter Oracle Arena as the NBA Champion Golden State Warriors take on the Denver Nuggets tomorrow, Saturday, January 2 (7:30 p.m.), the Warriors will register their 150th consecutive sellout, the team announced today. The current sellout streak, which started on December 18, 2012 against the then-New Orleans Hornets, is the longest streak the Warriors have had since Oracle Arena’s capacity was increased from 15,025 to 19,596 prior to the 1997-98 season.

The Warriors, who own the best record in the NBA (30-2) and have won 33-straight games at Oracle Arena (15-straight this season, 18-straight to end last season), have the seventh-longest active sellout streak in the NBA.

Over the course of the sellout streak, the Warriors have compiled a home record of 118-31 (.792) through 149 regular season and postseason games, a mark that includes the team’s current 33-game regular-season win streak at Oracle Arena that is tied for the sixth-longest home win streak in NBA history. Prior to the current win streak, Golden State had won a then-franchise-record 19-straight at home and has now won 52 of its last 53 regular-season home games.

The Warriors ended the 2014-15 season by capturing the 2015 NBA Championship for the first time in 40 years, becoming one of only four teams to have four or more NBA titles, and recorded a franchise-record 67 wins during the regular season. Tickets for all 2015-16 home games are available and can be purchased at warriors.com, or by calling 1-888-GSW-HOOP.
