Multiple Honors For Thompson

Klay Thompson has been voted to the 2011-12 NBA All-Rookie First Team, the NBA announced on Tuesday. This honor comes just a day after the sharp-shooting guard was named to the 2012 USA Men’s Select Team, which will train against the Men’s National Team this summer in Las Vegas. D-League Relocation To Santa Cruz

On May 22, the Santa Cruz City Council voted to finalize a deal with the Golden State Warriors that will enable the franchise to move its NBA Development League team from Bismarck, North Dakota. If this proposal is approved by the NBA, it would result in the Warriors NBA Development League team moving to Santa Cruz for the 2012-13 season. SANTA CRUZ WARRIORS SITE

So You Think You Can Hoop?

The Warriors have signed-on as a presenting sponsor for So You Think You Can Hoop, the Bay Area’s premier outdoor 3-on-3 basketball competition and basketball festival, which is slated to take place from July 7-8 at Oracle Arena. Catching Up With Sleepy Floyd

On May 10, 1987, Eric “Sleepy” Floyd became a Warriors legend. The Warriors guard scored 29 points in the fourth quarter of a Western Conference Semifinal contest against the Lakers, leading a 15-point second-half comeback and helping the team stave off elimination. Myers Promoted To General Manager
