DON'T BLINK
One of the reasons the Warriors have been so successful has been their ability to break open a game in the blink of an eye. Between Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson, Golden State possesses more than enough offensive weapons to go on extended runs, and when they do, the Warriors tend to win. In each of their last five victories, Golden State has broken the game open using runs of 18-2, 20-2, 18-3, 29-1 and, most recently, 25-4 in the decisive fourth quarter of their comeback victory over the Timberwolves on Sunday. Opposing defenses simply cannot afford to let up for extended periods of time, and when they do, a Warriors’ lineup fraught with highly efficient scorers takes advantage more often than not. The New Orleans Pelicans, Golden State’s opponent on Tuesday, know that as well as anybody, having conceded a 17-0 Warriors’ run in their most recent matchup back on November 7.

NEW ORLEANS SCOUTING REPORT
If the Pelicans don’t turn things around soon, the season may just get away from them before long. Having just ended a five-game losing streak with an overtime victory in Phoenix on Sunday, New Orleans enters Tuesday’s meeting with the Warriors sitting at 8-17 on the season, currently the fourth-worst record in the Western Conference. Health has been a recurring thorn in the Pelicans side, as New Orleans has already lost 67 man-games to injury, which doesn't ‎even account for the time Jrue Holiday missed to start the season tending to a family matter. Holiday has since returned to the lineup and is listed as probable for Tuesday’s clash with the Warriors. Tim Frazier, who is coming off his first career triple-double in that win over the Suns, has filled in admirably at point guard in the meantime and recorded 13 points and 10 assists in New Orleans’ most recent loss to Golden State. That was the Warriors’ 15th win in the previous 16 meetings between the two teams, and the Dubs will attempt to continue that dominance by finishing their season-long road trip off on a winning note on Tuesday.
