Isaiah Collier
Out vs. Spurs Collier will need to wait a little longer to make his 2024-25 debut after being ruled out yet again with a right hamstring strain. His next chance to run the floor will arrive Saturday in Denver.

Trending toward sitting Konchar remains officially questionable on the team's injury report due to a right bruised quad, but head coach Taylor Jenkins stated 90 minutes before tipoff that the guard is unlikely to suit up. Look for Scotty Pippen and Yuki Kawamura to get more run than usual if Konchar is officially ruled out.
Returns to Pelicans Reeves was assigned to the Pelicans' G League affiliate on Monday, but he'll return to the NBA club ahead of Friday's matchup with the Pacers as the team is managing a number of injuries to the backcourt. Reeves could see playing time behind Jose Alvarado at point guard with CJ McCollum (thigh) already ruled out for Friday's game.
Back with NBA club The Pelicans are dealing with a variety of injuries early on in the season, so the team has elected to add depth in the form of Matkovic and Antonio Reeves. Matkovic has seen limited playing time so far this year for New Orleans, logging five minutes in two appearances.
Status uncertain for Friday Theis departed Wednesday's matchup with Golden State early after suffering a right ankle injury, and the issue could force him to miss additional time. He'll likely be re-evaluated Friday during morning shootaround and leading up to tipoff to determine his availability.
Game-time call Friday Missi was held to only 12 minutes in Wednesday's clash against the Warriors due to the same injury, so it's no surprise to see he's landed on the injury report ahead of Friday's game. The team will undoubtedly monitor the rookie closely leading up to tipoff to determine whether he can suit up.
Back on injury report Hawkins entered the starting lineup Wednesday against the Warriors and fared well, but his status is now in jeopardy for Friday. The Uconn product dealt with back spasms earlier in the week and was able to push through to suit up, so it appears he'll have a decent chance to do so again Friday barring any setbacks.
Another absence coming Jones will miss his second straight contest while dealing with a right shoulder injury. With CJ McCollum (adductor) also sidelined, Jose Alvarado (back), Jordan Hawkins and Javonte Green should receive increased playing time.
Sitting again Friday McCollum was held out of Wednesday's clash due to a right adductor injury, and the issue will force him to miss another game. Look for Jose Alvarado to draw the start at point guard Friday in McCollum's absence.
Iffy for Friday Nembhard played just five minutes Wednesday due to left knee tendinitis and is now in danger of missing Friday's contest. If Nembhard is unable to suit up against New Orleans, Ben Sheppard and Bennedict Mathurin are candidates to receive increased playing time.
Questionable against New Orleans Turner was also deemed questionable for Indiana's previous contest before ultimately being ruled out with a left ankle sprain. If Turner is unable to suit up against New Orleans, Isaiah Jackson should draw another start.
Won’t play against Sacramento Daniels will miss his second straight contest Friday while dealing with a right hip strain. David Roddy, Keaton Wallace and Zaccharie Risacher should continue to receive increased playing time in his absence. Daniels' next chance to suit up is Sunday's matchup with New Orleans.
Still away from team Zeller has yet to suit up this season due to personal reasons. The veteran big man's next chance to rejoin the team is for Sunday's game versus the Pelicans.
Another absence coming Hunter will miss his fourth straight contest Friday while dealing with a right knee injury. His next chance to suit up is Sunday's matchup with New Orleans.
Still out Friday Robinson continues to miss time while dealing with a left knee sprain. However, his absence won't affect Sacramento's rotation.
Another absence coming Thompson has yet to suit up this season while returning to competition condition after dealing with blood clots. The second-year forward will need to be medically cleared before ultimately suiting up.
Iffy against Detroit Despite scoring 44 points, Towns appears to have sprained his wrist against Miami. If Towns is ruled out against Detroit, Jericho Sims will likely see increased playing time.
Still out against Boston Williams will miss his fifth game to start the season Friday while dealing with a left foot strain. Nick Richards should continue to start in his absence. While there is no timetable for Williams' return, his next chance to suit up is Saturday's rematch with Boston.
Another absence coming Jeffries has yet to suit up this season while dealing with a right hand injury. His next chance to play is Saturday's rematch with Boston.
Deemed questionable against Boston Miller is in danger of missing his fourth straight contest Friday while dealing with a left glute strain. If the second-year forward is ruled out again, Seth Curry and Cody Martin should continue to receive increased playing time.
Expected to play Friday Hauser will likely suit up for his second straight contest Friday despite dealing with a lower back injury. In his most recent outing, Hauser recorded five points, two rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block in 14 minutes.
Good to go against Chicago Claxton will return to action Friday after sitting out the second leg of Brooklyn's back-to-back. While the 25-year-old big man is expected to re-enter the starting lineup soon, it is unclear if that will come against Chicago.
Won’t play Friday Bogdanovic has yet to suit up this season while recovering from left foot surgery. The veteran forward's next chance to suit up is Sunday's matchup with Detroit.
Expected to play against Chicago Watford is expected to make his season debut Friday while recovering from a left hamstring strain. However, even when available, Watford is only likely to receive depth minutes in Brooklyn's frontcourt.
Plays well in return from hip issue Isaac produced solid per-minute numbers in his return to the court following a three-game absence due to a left hip contusion. While Isaac and Moritz Wagner should continue to operate as the Magic's primary backup big men moving forward, Isaac's lengthy injury history could deter Orlando from scaling up his minutes dramatically, even once he becomes further removed from the hip issue. Between his 65 appearances in the regular season and postseason in 2023-24, Isaac topped 25 minutes on just four occasions.
Questionable for Friday Bitadze could miss his third straight game Friday due to a left foot strain. However, Bitadze's potential absence shouldn't significantly impact Orlando's rotation.
Questionable for Friday Wagner left Wednesday's game against Chicago early due to illness and is now in danger of missing Friday's contest. With Paolo Banchero (abdomen) also questionable, Jonathan Isaac, Jett Howard and Caleb Houstan could all see increased playing time.
Iffy against Brooklyn Smith is in danger of missing his second straight contest Friday due to left knee soreness. If Smith is unable to suit up against Brooklyn, Adama Sanogo will likely operate as Chicago's backup center to Nikola Vucevic yet again.
Questionable for Friday While LaVine avoided a significant injury against Orlando, he is in danger of missing his first contest of the season Friday. If LaVine is unable to suit up, Dalen Terry, Matas Buzelis and Ayo Dosunmu are candidates to receive increased playing time.
Iffy against Cleveland Banchero seems to have suffered an abdominal strain against Chicago and is in danger of missing his first game of the season Friday. If the star forward is ultimately ruled out, Jonathan Isaac and Jett Howard are candidates to receive increased playing time.
Unlikely to play against Orlando Porter is expected to miss his third straight contest Friday while dealing with a right thumb sprain. However, the 24-year-old guard being listed as doubtful instead of out initially could indicate that he is nearing a return to action.
Remains out Friday Williams has yet to suit up this season while recovering from right knee surgery. However, Williams was sent to the Thunder's G League affiliate Thursday to practice, indicating that he is ramping up toward a return to action. His next chance to suit up is Saturday's matchup with the Clippers.
Expected to play Friday Russell is expected to suit up Friday despite dealing with lower back soreness. In his most recent outing, the 28-year-old guard tallied 10 points, five assists and three rebounds in 24 minutes.
Misses out on double-double Kornet's perfect shooting from the charity stripe helped him record his most points through the first games of the 2024-25 campaign. The 29-year-old big man is averaging 3.2 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 16.0 minutes across five appearances this season.
Double-doubles in win Harris' team-high 14 rebounds helped him record his first double-double of the season Wednesday. However, the 32-year-old forward is still struggling mightily with his efficiency. Across five appearances in 2024-25, Harris is converting on 37.1 percent of his field-goal attempts and 15.0 percent of his three-point attempts.
Ruled out Friday Olynyk will miss another game, his sixth consecutive to begin the season. The Raptors will be very shorthanded heading into Friday's game, as they are also without Scottie Barnes (orbital), Bruce Brown (knee) and potentially Immanuel Quickley (pelvis). With Olynyk out, Jonathan Mogbo and Bruno Fernando will likely continue to back up Jakob Poeltl until he returns.
Records season-high 14 points Green had his best outing of the season during Wednesday's win, tallying a season-high 14 points and five blocks. While Green shouldn't be relied upon to score in bunches consistently, he is averaging 1.8 blocks and 1.8 steals in 2024-25.
Questionable for Friday Walter has yet to make an appearance for the Raptors this season as he continues to recover from his shoulder injury, but it is worth noting that this is the first time the rookie has been deemed questionable this season, meaning his return may be sooner than anticipated. If Walter can't play Friday, his next chance to suit up will be Saturday versus the Kings.
Unlikely to play Friday Quickley is expected to miss his fifth straight contest Friday while dealing with a pelvis injury. If Quickley is officially ruled out, Davion Mitchell and Jamal Shead should continue to receive increased playing time.
All around performance in win While Williams' was not particularly efficient from the field Wedensday night, he found other ways to contribute by stuffing the stat sheet, tying his season high in assists (8) and setting his season high in steals (4). As one of the Thunder's top players, Williams will likely be able to increase his offensive production as the season progresses, but it is worth noting that his value comes from more than just his ability to score (averages of 7.0 rebounds, 6.0 assists, 1.5 steals and 0.8 blocks to start the season).
Makes strong defensive impact Despite struggling with his outside, Green led New Orleans in blocks Wednesday while coming off the bench. In the 31-year-old forward's first five appearances in 2024-25, he is averaging 5.4 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.6 steals in 21.0 minutes.
Provides spark off bench Branham's efficient shooting helped him tally 15 points for the second straight game while coming off the bench. The 21-year-old guard is averaging 11.0 points and 2.0 rebounds in 14.0 minutes across four appearances this season.
Fails to score against Miami Despite not scoring, Payne led all bench players with five assists in Wednesday's win. Payne has carved out a backup point guard role behind Jalen Brunson, averaging 6.0 points, 3.3 assists and 2.3 rebounds in 16.3 minutes across four appearances.
Goes through shootaround Beal is officially questionable for Thursday's contest due to a sprained left elbow. However, the star guard's participation in the morning shootaround is a good sign of his availability against Los Angeles.
Will not play Thursday Smart left Wednesday's game versus Brooklyn after playing just six minutes and did not return. The shorthanded Grizzlies, who will also be without Luke Kennard (foot), Desmond Bane (oblique) and Vince Williams (tibia), among others, will depend on Jaylen Wells and John Konchar (quad) to play in Smart's absence.
Won’t play Saturday Robinson will miss his first game of the season Saturday due to personal reasons. With Josh Richardson dealing with a calf injury, Alec Bruks and Jaime Jaquez could be in store for increased playing time. Robinson's next chance to suit up is Monday's matchup with Sacramento.
Ruled out Thursday Prior to his injury, Bane put up 10 points (3-7 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 3-3 FT) and six rebounds over 17 minutes before leaving the game for good. Bane is averaging 18.8 points, 5.4 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.0 steals and 0.6 blocks across 26.4 minutes, including a blistering 40.6 percent from three to start the season, so his presence will be missed against the Bucks. With Bane out, Memphis will likely turn to Jake LaRavia and Jaylen Wells until he returns.
Won’t play Saturday Love will miss his fifth straight game to begin the 2024-25 campaign due to personal reasons. His next chance to suit up is Monday's matchup with Sacramento.
Posts season high in win Wednesday Toppin recorded season highs in both points (18) and minutes (33), and has put up at least 14 for a third consecutive game. Despite concerns regarding playing time in the previous contest against the Magic, Toppin was second among all bench players in minutes Wednesday night, only behind Bennedict Mathurin (43). He is averaging 11.4 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.4 blocks and an impressive 37.5 percent from three to begin the season.
Records career-high four blocks Sarr continued to struggle with his efficiency but managed to make a strong defensive impact. The rookie big man has tallied at least two blocks and one steal in each of his last three appearances. However, Sarr is still shooting 29.7 percent from the field and 23.8 percent from three.
Drops career high in loss Knecht's 18 points mark a career high in his very young career, and he was one of the very few bright spots in Wednesday's loss. If the rookie continues to elevate his play, he could carve out a larger role for himself as the season progresses.
Dishes out career-high six assists Black has been the Magic's primary backup point guard to Jalen Suggs to begin the season. Across Black's first five appearances in 2024-25, he is averaging 8.4 points, 4.2 assists, 3.2 rebounds and 1.4 blocks in 25.6 minutes.
Team option declined Hood-Schifino has yet to receive significant playing time with the Lakers and hasn't even made an NBA appearance in 2024-25. The 21-year-old guard is set to become an unrestricted free agent this offseason.
Iffy against Milwaukee Konchar had previously been dealing with right foot soreness but now appears to be ailed by a quadriceps injury. With Marcus Smart (ankle), Desmond Bane (oblique), Luke Kennard (foot) and Vince Williams (lower leg) all out, Memphis could be left very thin in their backcourt.
Fourth-year option declined Beauchamp has had a minimal role for Milwaukee this season and has had his playing time decrease ever since averaging 13.5 minutes per contest as a rookie. He is set to enter next offseason as an unrestricted free agent.
Dishes out career-high nine assists Shead has seen increased playing time to start the season with Immanuel Quickley (pelvis) sidelined. The 22-year-old guard led Toronto in assists while coughing up just one turnover. Shead is averaging 8.2 points, 5.6 assists and 1.2 rebounds in 20.2 minutes across five appearances to begin the 2024-25 campaign.
Another strong outing With Joel Embiid (knee) and Paul George (knee) both out, Maxey has taken over as the 76ers' top option on offense. Maxey has used that increased workload to score at least 30 points in back-to-back games. The 24-year-old guard is averaging 31.5 points, 4.5 assists, 3.8 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 42.0 minutes across four appearances this season, albeit on 37.8/22.9/81.6 shooting splits.
Efficient scoring in loss White was perfect from behind the arc in Wednesday's overtime loss. The 30-year-old guard has started the 2024-25 campaign blistering the nets from deep, converting 47.4 percent of his 7.6 three-point attempts per contest. White has also recorded at least one block or steal in each of his first five appearances.
Inefficient against Spurs Gilgeous-Alexander scored his fewest points of the season Wednesday despite the Thunder coming out on top. The star guard has started off the season shooting poorly, converting just 27.3 percent of his 8.3 three-point attempts per contest. This uptick in volume is also worth noting, as Gilgeous-Alexander attempted just 3.6 three-point attempts per game in 2023-24.
Remains without return timetable Klintman has yet to suit up this season while dealing with a right calf injury. Until the rookie forward receives a concrete return timetable, fantasy managers can consider him week-to-week.
Poor outing in loss An undisclosed reason caused Wembanyama to briefly exit Wednesday's contest as he played his fewest minutes of the season. When the 20-year-old big man was on the court, he was on the losing end of a marquee matchup with Chelt Holmgren. Wembanyama is off to a slow start this season, shooting just 40.7 percent from the field and 19.0 percent from three.
Struggles in win Bridges had his worst game of the season Wednesday, failing to score double-digit points for the first time in four games. The 26-year-old forward's poor shooting night has dragged his field-goal percentage down to 39.6 percent and his three-point percentage down to 25.0 percent for the season.
Records season-high 17 points Williams combined with Tre Mann and Cody Martin to score 68 points off Charlotte's bench in Wednesday's win. Williams is off to a blistering start from beyond the arc this season, converting 47.4 percent of his 4.8 three-point attempts per contest.
Another double-double Poeltl has now posted back-to-back double-doubles despite coming up short in Wednesday's contest. The 29-year-old big man is off to a great start to the 2024-25 campaign, averaging 13.8 points, 12.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.2 blocks in 31.8 minutes across five appearances. However, Poeltl's field-goal percentage is down to 56.0 percent from 65.6 percent last year.
Remaining out Saturday Kuzma will miss his second straight contest Saturday while dealing with a right groin strain. Corey Kispert and Kyshawn George should continue to receive increased playing time in his absence. Kuzma's next chance to suit up is Monday's matchup with Golden State.
Season high scoring Martin came off the bench for the first time this season Wednesday but recorded his highest scoring output. Through his first four appearances, Martin is averaging 11.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 24.8 minutes. The 29-year-old guard has been displaying impressive efficiency, shooting 51.6 percent from the field and 42.1 percent on 4.8 three-point attempts per contest.
Crashes offensive glass Williams' season-high six offensive rebounds helped him record his second double-double of the season Wednesday. However, the 24-year-old forward struggled with his efficiency and recorded as many turnovers (four) as assists. While Williamson has earned a reputation as one of the NBA's most efficient scorers, he is shooting just 36.5 percent from the field across his first four appearances this season.
Makes impact off bench Robinson-Earl had his best game of the season Wednesday, posting his highest totals in points, rebounds, assists and minutes. However, the 24-year-old big man is averaging just 9.8 minutes per contest, making it hard for him to produce consistently.
Season high scoring Jackson-Davis recorded a season-high 15 points and tied for his most with nine rebounds in Wednesday's win. The second-year big man has started in each of his first five appearances, averaging 9.6 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 19.0 minutes. Jackson-Davis is also shooting 77.7 percent from the field over that span.
Minimal impact in loss Reaves recorded a season-low seven points during Wednesday's loss. The 26-year-old guard also recorded more turnovers (four) than assists (three). Even with this poor performance, Reaves is averaging 16.8 points, 6.0 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.2 steals in 34.4 minutes on 52.5/44.8/75.0 shooting splits across his first five appearances of the season.
Another poor outing After a strong start to the season, Grant has dropped back-to-back duds. The 30-year-old forward has shot 6-26 from the field across those two outs. However, with Grant remaining in the starting lineup and typically playing over 30 minutes a night, he should continue to receive enough opportunities to put up solid statistical production.
Scores 13 points in loss Edey tied his personal-best scoring mark in this game. Even though he's scored in double digits in just two of his five contests so far, the rookie seems to be getting more comfortable with each passing game. Excluding his NBA debut in which he fouled out after playing just 15 minutes, Edey is averaging 9.8 points and 4.3 rebounds across a mere 17.0 minutes per game.
Outstanding in loss to Brooklyn Jackson led the Grizzlies in scoring Wednesday, but his impressive -- and highly-efficient -- output wasn't enough to avoid the defeat against the rebuilding Nets. Jackson missed the first three games of the season but has been excellent since making his debut in the win over Magic on Oct. 26, averaging 20.7 points per game while shooting 60.5 percent from the field.
Minimal impact in loss Okongwu returned to action Wednesday after missing Washington's previous contest with a toe injury. While the 23-year-old big man had a great Opening Night, he is averaging just 7.7 points, 4.7 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 24.3 minutes in his last three appearances. Until Okognwu is able to officially supplant Clint Capela as the Hawks' starting center, his statistical output will likely continue to be inconsistent.
Sniffs triple-double in loss Morant returned from a one-game absence due to a thigh injury, and while his efficiency was subpar at best, he still found a way to impact the game and deliver a quality fantasy line. The star guard finished just two rebounds shy of a triple-double, and while he can have poor shooting performances from time to time, his fantasy impact goes well beyond what he can do as a scorer. Through four games this season, Morant is averaging 19.0 points, 8.3 assists and 3.8 rebounds per game.
Impressive off bench Wednesday Williams might have played off the bench in this game, but he made his presence felt on both ends of the court as soon as he entered the contest. The fourth-year forward, who was facing his former team for the first time in his career, has been trending in the right direction in recent days and has scored in double digits in back-to-back games after a slow start to the campaign.
Struggles with shot Wednesday Thomas had a rough showing in this win, but fortunately for him, the likes of Dennis Schroeder and Ziaire Williams stepped up to carry the Nets to their second win in their last three matches. Thomas is bound to have a few down games here and there, but he remains the most reliable offensive weapon the Nets have from a scoring perspective -- even when factoring in Schroder's impressive start to the campaign. Through five games, Thomas is averaging 27.4 points per game while shooting 43.4 percent from the floor.
Explodes for 33-point performance Schroder reached a new season-high scoring mark with this impressive outing, as he took over the game offensively in a game where Cam Thomas struggled with his shot. Schroder has opened the season on a tear and has reached the 20-point mark in four straight contests, averaging 27.5 points and 8.5 assists per game while shooting a blistering 61 percent from the field in that span. Some regression is bound to happen, but the German floor general will remain as one of the Nets' go-to players on offense every time Brooklyn takes the floor.
All-around performance in start Mogbo made his first career start in Wednesday's loss with Scottie Barnes (eye) out. Mogbo played the fewest minutes of any starter but still made a strong defensive impact. The rookie forward is averaging 7.6 points, 3.8 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.0 blocks in 16.6 minutes across his first five appearances.
Efficient in low-scoring effort Butler had a rough showing in the season with a three-point performance (1-8 FG) in the loss to the Magic on Oct. 23, and while he responded with two straight games with at least 20 points, he had another low-scoring effort Wednesday. Even if his scoring numbers haven't been as good as in previous years, Butler is improving in the efficiency department. Excluding the dud in the season opener, Butler is shooting 57.1 percent from the field while attempting 11.7 shots per game, so he's trending in the right direction even if the scoring numbers aren't backing that up.
Scores 16 points with 14 shots Rozier didn't have his best shooting performance, and this 16-point mark was his lowest mark of the season, but that shouldn't undermine the strong start the veteran floor general is having. Through four games, Rozier is averaging 18.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 4.5 assists per contest while shooting 42.4 percent from deep.
Goes for 34 points in loss Herro had his best performance of the young season by a wide margin, putting up season-high marks in points and assists while tying his best output in the rebounding category. The Heat have endured a rough start to the season on the offensive end of the floor, but Herro has been putting up strong numbers, averaging 22.3 points per game and shooting an impressive 43.2 percent from deep through four contests.
Sniffs double-double Brunson struggled with his shot Wednesday, but he thrived in the playmaking role while Karl-Anthony Towns carried New York's offense with a season-high 44-point effort. Brunson has been slumping with his shot over his last two games, shooting a combined 14-for-42 in that span, but that shouldn't worry fantasy managers. The star guard should bounce back sooner rather than later, although a slight decrease in his scoring figures to allow Towns to become the No. 1 option on offense might be due to happen.
Explodes for 44 points Wednesday Towns had his best game since joining the Knicks before the start of training camp in late September, and the star big man was the main reason why New York came through with the victory here. Towns has opened his Knicks tenure with three double-doubles in four games, and he figures to continue playing a dominant role on offense alongside Jalen Brunson.
Fills stat sheet in win Wednesday Bridges continues to struggle with his shot from deep, but his consistency, as well as his ability to make an impact in other categories, have prevented him from enduring a woeful start to his life as a Knick. Bridges is averaging 18.3 points, 4.0 assists, 2.5 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game in his first four appearances.
Thrives off bench Wednesday Mann outplayed the starting shooting guard, Seth Curry, by a wide margin and played a sizable role in this win, the first one for the Hornets in the 2024-25 season. Mann has been one of the best bench scorers in the first week-plus of the regular season, averaging 20.5 points per game and shooting 44.6 percent from the field while logging just 28.5 minutes per contest.
Stands out with two-way play Richards has enjoyed an excellent start to the campaign and has notched three double-doubles in four games, all coming in consecutive contests. He's been a reliable two-way threat for a slumping Hornets team that has endured a 1-3 start, averaging 13.5 points, 11.8 rebounds and 2.5 blocks per contest in 2024-25.
Stuffs stat sheet in loss Ball's shooting line wasn't particularly efficient, but fantasy managers can live with that, especially when factoring in how much he brings to the table and how versatile he is on a game-to-game basis. This was the first time the star guard didn't reach the 20-point mark, but he's still enjoying an impressive start to the campaign with averages of 28.5 points, 7.0 assists, 6.0 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game in his first four contests.
Let go by OKC again Reese was waived in order to free up a roster spot for Malevy Leons. It appears that the Thunder plan to have Reese spend the 2024-25 campaign with their G League affiliate, the Oklahoma City Blue.
Goes for 31 points Wednesday Barrett led the Raptors in scoring in this contest and also ended just two assists away from a double-double. It's only been two games, but the star forward is enjoying an excellent start to the 2024-25 campaign. Barrett has scored a combined 51 points while shooting 19-for-39 from the field and 6-for-12 from deep. He'll aim to continue his strong start to the campaign against the Lakers on Friday.
Re-joins OKC Leons was let go by the Thunder in mid-October but has now rejoined the club. The 25-year-old forward will likely compete for depth minutes in the team's forward rotation.
Scores career-high 30 points Dick delivered the best scoring performance of his young career before fouling out, and the second-year guard is performing at a high level while doing an excellent job of handling a more significant role on offense. Dick has reached the 15-point mark in all but one of his five appearances and has reached the 20-point mark in two of his last three, so his scoring exploits have been enough to keep him relevant across all fantasy formats. He's also shooting 48.5 percent from the field, which represents an upgrade compared to his rookie year in 2023-24.
Hands out 11 dimes Wednesday Mitchell has stepped in admirably for Immanuel Quickley, and even though he endured a slow start to the campaign, he seems to be turning things around of late. The 11 assists were a season-high mark for the fourth-year guard, and he's also scored in double digits in his last two games. That said, the emergence of players such as Gradey Dick and Jakob Poeltl, as well as RJ Barrett's return, should keep Mitchell's scoring numbers on the low for the time being.
Extends impressive start to season Mobley has been one of the best big men in the league during the first week of the regular season, and the fact that he finished with 25 points despite logging a mere 19 minutes goes to show how dominant and efficient he was in this contest while having to deal with the frontcourt of Rui Hachimura and Anthony Davis. Mobley has been productive on both ends of the court, averaging 19.2 points, 8.2 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 2.0 blocks and 1.2 steals per contest in his first five appearances.
Scores career-high 17 points Risacher enjoyed the best game of his young career Wednesday despite struggling with his outside shot. The 2024 No. 1 pick in the NBA Draft has started in his last three contests, averaging 11.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.7 blocks and 1.3 steals in 29.3 minutes over that span. While Risacher is posting 35.4/23.8/58.3 shooting splits on the season, his defensive prowess is encouraging.
Catches DNP-CD on Wednesday Per Sports Illustrated's Mason Williams, Anthony stated, "[I] wasn't playing that well, me and [Magic coach Jamahl Mosley] had a conversation. He keeps it a buck with me, I'm gonna keep it a buck with him. And I mean, this is what happens. It's a business, man." The guard has scored just eight points on 18.8 percent shooting to begin the season. As he's struggled, sophomores Anthony Black and Jett Howard have found more consistent run this season.
Pulls down 17 boards Wednesday The 17 rebounds were a season-high mark for the big man, and Allen has recorded three double-doubles in his last four appearances. Allen doesn't have a primary role on offense and could be considered the fourth-best scoring option for Cleveland -- behind Donovan Mitchell, Evan Mobley and Darius Garland -- but he remains productive. Allen has scored at least 15 points in four games in a row and is averaging 18.8 points with 12.0 boards per game in that four-game span.
Doubles-doubles in win vs. Lakers Garland didn't have his best shooting performance and had a rough showing from three-point range, but he salvaged his fantasy line with his 10 assists, representing a season-high mark for him. The emergence of Evan Mobley means Garland is now the third-best offensive option for Cleveland, which might lead to a slight regression in the scoring column but an uptick in the assists category. Garland is averaging 17.8 points and 6.0 assists per game to open the campaign.
Fills stat sheet Wednesday Davis has been nothing short of outstanding to start the season, recording three double-doubles across his first five appearances. The star big man recorded at least 20 points with eight boards in each game while also filling the stat sheet in the other categories. His role as the Lakers' main offensive weapon, even ahead of LeBron James, is set in stone this season and that should led him to deliver elite numbers across all formats.
Efficient despite loss Wednesday The Lakers were outmatched in this loss Wednesday, but James delivered his most efficient performance of the season from a scoring perspective. He missed just four of his 13 shots from the field en route to clearing the 25-point mark for the second time in five games. James' production has been relatively modest in terms of his lofty standards. He's averaging 21.2 points, 6.8 rebounds and 6.6 assists per contest. That's still above average for league standards, but it speaks volumes about how dominant James has been this late into his playing days.
First career points Wednesday James logged a mere five minutes off the bench and scored the first points of his NBA career. That said, the rookie has struggled to see consistent minutes and is expected to be sent to the South Bay Lakers, in the G League, once the Lakers' current road trip ends Nov. 6 in Memphis.
Steps in at point guard The Pelicans have experimented with a mix of CJ McCollum (leg), Brandon Ingram and Herbert Jones (shoulder) to make up for Dejounte Murray's season-ending injury, but the team was forced to take another approach with McCollum and Jones on the sideline. Alvarado's insertion at point guard provided a more traditional first-unit scheme, moving Ingram to the wing. He had a solid line in his first start, and although the Pelicans got behind early, he was able to complete a diverse line with contributions in every major category. The Pelicans will await news on McCollum after his MRI, and that will determine how much we'll see of Alvarado in the immediate future.
Paces team with 23 points Although Hawkins began the day on the injury report, he stepped in and took advantage of CJ McCollum's (leg) untimely absence. The New Orleans backcourt has devolved into a mess, beginning with a season-ending injury to Dejounte Murray, who was expected to rule the roost with McCollum alongside him. With McCollum, Herbert Jones (shoulder) and Trey Murphy (hamstring) unavailable, the team will need to depend on Hawkins and Jose Alvarado to assume bigger roles. The results of McCollum's MRI will determine the path for Hawkins going forward.
Goes scoreless in one minute Flagler played fewer than four minutes for the fourth straight game, a feat which is only possible because the Thunder have dominated in all of their games to this point. Outside of garbage time, Flagler would remain fixed to the bench, making him a non-factor in all fantasy formats.
Tallies four steals in win Caruso's struggles on the offensive end continued Wednesday, although he was able to stay relevant on the defensive side. outside of his steals and blocks, the 2024-25 season has been largely underwhelming, especially when it comes to his role in Oklahoma City. At this point, he should be viewed as an elite streaming option, to the point where he could be held in very specific situations.
Posts 16 points from bench Kuminga would have been a logical choice to enjoy an increased role with Stephen Curry (ankle) and Andrew Wiggins (back) sidelined, but coach Steve Kerr seemed to have other plans. After starting the first three games of the season, Kuminga came off the bench during the two-game stint against the Pelicans. Kerr probably made the move after some shooting struggles impaired his bottom line, but Kuminga has righted the ship over the past two contests.
Drops team-high 20 points Dort led the way with a team-high 20 points, scoring at least 16 points for the second straight game. Although the offensive output is moderately intriguing, managers shouldn't be fooled by this given what we have seen in the past. While he is fine to add for streaming purposes, it's hard to see him converting this into season-long value.
Flirts with double-double in loss Paul fell one assist short of his first double-double as a Spur, putting together arguably his best performance of the season. It's been a slow start for the veteran, especially on the offensive end. With that said, he is averaging 7.3 assists and 1.0 steals per game, serviceable numbers for anyone who took a chance on him in the later rounds.
Struggles with first unit The absences of Stephen Curry (ankle) and Andrew Wiggins (back) has forced coach Steve Kerr to explore the team's depth, and he opted for Lindy Waters to start over Buddy Hield after a good performance off the bench in the first game against the Pelicans. The success was not replicated in the rematch, and he struggled for much of his 30 minutes on the floor. Waters may have avoided a trip back to the G League based on his early success, but he'll sink down the depth chart once the team is fully healthy.
Fails to score in 20 minutes Castle was a no-show in the loss, missing all five of his shot attempts. It's been an underwhelming start to his NBA career, averaging just 5.0 points and 3.5 assists in 20.7 minutes per game. While he could be someone the Spurs lean into a little more as the season progresses, there is no point holding him now given his current role.
Leads team to complete sweep Hield's move to he second unit was an interesting twist inthe back end of this two-game tilt with the Pelicans. Coach Steve Kerr must have really liked what he saw from Lindy Waters, as he got the promotion to the first unit but struggled in the new role. Enter Hield, who is extremely comfortable in a sixth-man role. Once Stephen Curry (ankle) and Andrew Wiggins (back) return, that's where Hield will be for most of the season. As the first man off the bench, his sharpshooting skills will bridge the scoring gap, especially when Curry takes a break.
Logs season-high 13 minutes Wesley logged a season-high in minutes, a feat that is not that impressive given his previous high was 12. A portion of his playing time came at the backend of the game, once the result was decided. Even with the Spurs' guard depth a little thin, Wesley has been unable to carve out a meaningful role. Barring a significant shift in their rotations, Wesley is not someone who needs to be considered in standard formats.
Logs seven minutes Wednesday Council saw limited run again Wednesday, breaking into the rotation for the third time this season. In fact, the only game in which he didn't play was their solitary win against the Pacers. Given he is typically being utilized in games that are non-competitive, Council's fantasy outlook is relatively bleak.
Posts 19/10 double-double in loss Harden's five three-pointers represented most of his scoring output, and he led the team in assists. Wednesday marked Harden's third consecutive double-digit assist result, and the category should serve as a nice addition to his fantasy totals throughout the season. Harden isn't getting any younger, but Kawhi Leonard's (shoulder) absence and the loss of Paul George is yielding great results as he carries a heavier load.
Serviceable effort in loss Yabusele managed to chip in across the board, delivering a much better performance than in his previous game against the Pacers. Thus far, he is averaging 6.8 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 0.8 three-pointers in 19.8 minutes per game. Given he is doing this without Joel Embiid (knee) on the floor, the long-term outlook is far from promising.
Rare appearance in loss Bona cracked the rotation Wednesday, as the 76ers continued their rough start to the season. Joel Embiid (knee) and Paul George (knee) continue to miss games, leaving Philadelphia very short-handed when it comes to offensive upside. For those wondering, Bona is not a fantasy option, even in deeper formats.
Fouls out in 11 minutes Duren delivered a dud for fantasy managers, lasting just 11 minutes before fouling out. It's been a modest start to the season for Duren, coming up short of preseason expectations. However, he is locked in as the starting center and typically sees 30 minutes per game. Managers simply need to sweep this game under the rug and move on.
Passive performance Wednesday Fontecchio continues to be used sparingly, logging just 17 minutes in the victory. He was seen as a potential last-round flier coming into the season but opinions were quick to change when it became clear he would be used in a limited role. At this stage, he would likely need a couple of key pieces to go missing to have any shot at being fantasy-relevant.
Strong performance in win Stewart had his best outing of the season, playing 34 minutes as a result of Jalen Duren fouling out in just 11 minutes. Playing as the backup center, Stewart has been underwhelming in both fantasy and reality. While this was reminiscent of what he can do when afforded meaningful minutes, he simply won't play enough on a regular basis to be considered a viable asset.
Slight regression in loss Although Zubac recorded 12 rebonds, his scoring took a bit of a dip after a strong start to the season. Kai Jones was able to log more time in this game, which changes Zubac's outlook to a degree. The team is still shallow at the position, but competition from the second unit is increasing, and Zubac is unaccustomed to logging 30-plus minutes every night.
Leads team with 30 points After a productive evening, Powell had a chance to take the lead with less than a minute to go, but Deni Avdija blocked his shot attempt that could have given the Clippers the lead. Although it takes more than one player to account for Paul George's lost production, Powell is carrying much of the load in a starting role Powell and Derrick Jones are both plugging holes with some success, with Jones filling in during Kawhi Leonard's (shoulder) extended absence.
Records double-double in victory Avdija made some key plays during the team's second win, including a critical blocked shot that kept Norman Powell from putting the game away. Jerami Grant scored only eight points, and early results indicate a negative correlation between the two players. Through five games, they've played alongside each other without much of a break. Their playing styles are somewhat similar, and there isn't enough room for both of them to record good results at the same time. Once the team builds some more cohesiveness, enough space will be created for both players to excel.
Extends double-double streak in win Ayton has logged five consecutive double-doubles to begin the season, and is well on his way to exceed his 32 double-doubles from last season. That number would have been higher, but Injuries limited Ayton's production and held him to only 55 games. If he can stay healthy, Ayton could finish as one of the most productive centers in the Western Conference, but he needs to stay off the injury report to achieve that goal.
Spurs rally in narrow win Simons started to get hot in the third quarter, and narrowed the gap with an excellent final stanza. The Clippers went ice-cold offensively and Simons took advantage, sinking the go-ahead layup to seal the win. Although the team is 2-3, Simons has put together five solid performances, and the team looks much-improved thanks to his output
Hits for 21 in win It's the third time in the last four games that White has delivered 20 or more points, and the 24-year-old guard seems to be gelling quickly with new backcourt mate Josh Giddey. Through five contests to begin the season, White is averaging 19.0 points, 4.4 boards, 4.4 assists, 3.2 threes and 1.4 steals, quickly demonstrating that his 2023-24 breakout was no fluke.
Another double-double Wednesday It's the fourth double-double in five games to begin the season for Vucevic. The veteran center hasn't let trade rumors distract him, and his averages of 20.2 points, 11.0 boards, 3.4 assists and 2.2 threes per game only improve his market value should the Bulls elect to move him.
Double-double against Orlando The former Thunder guard posted a season high in points while delivering his second straight double-double as he continues to get acclimated to his new teammates and system. Giddey has had a strong start to his Chicago tenure, averaging 15.4 points, 8.4 boards, 5.8 assists and 2.0 threes through five games while shooting a blistering 58.8 percent (10-for-17) from beyond the arc.
Big all-around effort in loss The fourth-year point guard made an impact at both ends of the court as he continues his hot start to the season. Suggs is averaging 16.8 points, 5.0 boards, 3.8 assists, 3.4 threes, 2.2 steals and 1.0 blocks through the first five games of the campaign, numbers which would represent career highs nearly across the board if he's able to maintain something even close to that pace.
Limited by hip soreness Missi logged fewer than 20 minutes for the first time this season despite Daniel Theis (ankle) seeing just five minutes Wednesday due to injury. Per Will Guillory of The Athletic, Missi was battling hip soreness stemming from a collision he had in Tuesday's game. Instead, Jeremiah Robinson-Earl saw most of the center work, totaling 23 minutes. While Missi hasn't put together any gaudy stat lines, he's been a strong per-minute producer and has been a great source of blocks.
