Struggling Knicks Visit Celtics Tonight in TD Garden
Rondo May Return for C's
The very first game of the 2011-12 NBA season resulted in a Christmas Day loss for the Boston Celtics (11-10) at the hands of the New York Knicks (8-14). Boston will have its first opportunity to avenge that loss when the two teams meet again at 8 p.m. tonight in TD Garden.
New York was impressive in these teams’ first meeting of the season, winning 106-104 at home and leading by as many as 17 points. Since that game concluded, the Celtics and Knicks have been drifting slowly in opposite directions. That drifting has picked up the pace over the past few weeks.
