Professional History

2014-15 SEASON:
Named to the All-NBA Summer League First Team in July, 2015, after leading the Suns with an average of 18.7 points (54.0 FG%, 74.2 FT%), in addition to 3.6 rebounds, 1.1 steals, 1.1 blocks and 29.7 minutes in seven games to help Phoenix reach the Summer League Championship Game… One of the NBA’s most efficient rookie scorers after the Suns selected him with a 2014 lottery pick, ranked 16th among rookies with an average of 6.1 points (52.8 FG%, 73.7 FT%), in addition to 2.1 rebounds and 15.4 minutes in 40 games (one start)… Averaged 14.4 points per 36 minutes for the season, seventh in the NBA among rookies who played at least 600 total minutes, and most by a Sun playing at least 600 minutes since Amar’e Stoudemire averaged 15.5 points per 36 minutes in 2002-03… In the second half following the All-Star break, ranked 2nd among rookies with at least 40 field goal attempts with a 55.0 FG%, 14th with a Player Efficiency Rating of 15.0 and 14th with 7.8 points per game… Received votes for the 2014-15 NBA All-Rookie Team… Posted nine games with at least 10 points… Led Suns in scoring once, steals twice and blocks four times… Scored season-high 18 points on 8-10 FG vs. Oklahoma City on March 29… Scored a then season-high 17 points on 8-10 FG in just 19 minutes vs. Minnesota on March 11, the only NBA rookie to score 17+ points in 20 minutes or fewer in 2014-15 and the first Suns rookie to do so since Paul McPherson in 2000-01… With two games of at least 75.0 FG% on at least 10 field goal attempts, became first Suns rookie with multiple such games since Michael Finley had three in 1995-96… Scored 10+ points in three straight games from March 29- April 2 with a team-high-tying 13 points at Portland on March 30 and 17 points (8-12 FG) at Golden State on April 2, with 15 of the 17 coming in the fourth quarter… Made first career start in season finale vs. L.A. Clippers and played a career-high 43 minutes (most by a Suns rookie since Stoudemire) and a career-high six assists in addition to 10 points… Had season-high seven rebounds in addition to 10 points at Denver on Feb. 25… Recorded first career double-digit scoring game with 11 points (5-9 FG) at Denver on Nov. 28… Made NBA debut on Nov. 9 vs. Golden State, playing one minute… Missed the first six games of the season due to a small fracture in his left thumb (Oct. 29-Nov. 7)… Played in nine games over four assignments with the Suns’ D-League affiliate, the Bakersfield Jam, averaging 26.8 points (54.4 FG%), 7.0 rebounds, 1.6 steals and 35.4 minutes.

CAREER TRANSACTIONS:
Selected by the Pheonix Suns in the first found (14th overall pick) in the 2014 NBA Draft ... Signed with the Suns on August 8, 2014.

COLLEGE:
Voted the ACC Player of the Year by the league’s coaches and the media and was a second-team All-American pick by The Sporting News. He made major strides in his sophomore season and was a consistent scoring threat all season, but he was never better than in early March, when he dropped 41 points on Pitt and 42 on Boston College in consecutive games. Only the second player in North Carolina State history to score 40 or more two games in a row… Averaged 24.9 ppg, 7.1 rpg, 1.1 apg, 1.8 spg, 2.4 tpg, 35.4 mpg, .525 FG, .267 3PT, .690 FT… Third player in ACC history to lead the league in scoring and field-goal percentage.
