NEW YORK, November 11 – Washington’s Jerry Stackhouse and Dallas’ Dirk Nowitzki today were named the Eastern Conference and Western Conference Players of the Week, respectively, for games played Monday, Nov. 4 through Sunday, Nov. 10.

Stackhouse, acquired during the offseason by the Wizards through a trade with Detroit, led his new team to a 3-1 record last week by averaging 29.0 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.0 assists.

Nowitzki averaged 21.8 points, 11.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.50 blocks in leading the Mavericks to a 4-0 record for the week as Dallas (6-0) remains the only undefeated team in the NBA.

Nov. 6 vs. Cleveland – Had a season-high 35 points, five rebounds, three assists, three steals and a block to lead Washington to a 107-100 victory over the Cavaliers. Nov. 4 vs. Golden State – Had 24 points, 13 rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocks in the Mavericks’ 107-100 win over the Warriors.
Nov. 8 vs. L.A. Lakers – Recorded 29 points, including the game-winning basket and added six assists in the Wizards’ 100-99 win over the visiting Lakers. Nov. 6 at Toronto – Recorded 28 points, 13 rebounds and two blocks in Dallas’ 106-92 victory over the Raptors.
Nov. 9 at Cleveland – Recorded 27 points and a season-high nine rebounds in the Wizards’ 93-79 win over the Cavaliers. Nov. 8 at Chicago – Recorded 24 points and 10 rebounds in the Mavericks’ 114-87 victory over the Bulls.
