The Warriors and Kings made long-range NBA history Saturday night.
The teams combined for 41 3-pointers in Golden State’s 127-123 victory in Sacramento.
The Warriors made 21 of 47 shots from distance, while the Kings hit a franchise-record 20 of 36 attempts from 3-point range. It marked the first game in NBA history in which both teams made 20 3s.
Steph Curry drilled 10 of 20 from deep, marking the 11th time in Curry’s career he made at least 10 3-pointers in a game. Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson and Quinn Cook each added three 3-pointers for the Warriors, while Draymond Green and Andre Iguodala each made one.
Buddy Hield led the Kings with eight 3s. Justin Jackson made five, Bogdan Bogdanovic had three and Nemanja Bjelica added two. Ben McLemore and Yogi Ferrell each hit one.
The previous record for 3-pointers (40) in a game was set last February, when the Cavs (21) defeated the Wolves (19) in overtime.
Curry also passed Kyle Korver for fourth on the all-time 3-point field goal list, and is now five away from tying Jason Terry for third place.
