Pollin Sets Up Education Fund
Abe Pollin, Chairman of Washington Sports and Entertainment and the Washington Wizards, announced the development of the Washington Sports and Entertainment Education Fund to benefit the children who lost a parent or guardian in the Pentagon tragedy on September 11th.

Spurred to Help
The Spurs stayed in New York after a preseason game with the Knicks to aid relief efforts by touring the rescue command center and interacting with elementary school children near the World Trade Center site.

Miller Shooting for Big Donation
Pacers guard Reggie Miller has announced that for every 3-point field goal he makes during the NBA's preseason and regular season, he will donate $1,000 to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund. Based on his average output, that would generate a donation in excess of $145,000 from Miller.

Abdur-Rahim to Raise Funds Through Rebound America
Hawks forward Shareef Abdur-Rahim has announced the launch of "Rebound America," a campaign seeking to raise funds for the victims of the Sept. 11 attacks on America. Abdur-Rahim will personally donate $100 for every rebound that he has this season.

Oakley to Aid FDNY Families
Bulls forward Charles Oakley announced he will donate 100 tickets to the families of the New York City Fire Department who were killed in the tragedy on Sept. 11, when the Bulls play the Knicks at the Garden on Saturday afternoon, Nov. 24.

Anderson Assists Hometown of New York
Celtics guard and Big Apple native Kenny Anderson announced he was donating $5,000 to a relief fund for those affected by the tragedies in New York City on Sept. 11.

Finley Hosted "Back 2 Hoops Bash"
Dallas Mavericks guard Michael Finley raised over $60,000 for the New York City Relief Fund when over 1,400 people attended his second annual "Back 2 Hoops Bash" on Sept. 21.

NBA Preseason Game to Raise Money for Red Cross
The NBA, the NBDL, the Hawks and Pacers, the Mobile Revelers and the city of Mobile have teamed up to donate all ticket proceeds from the Oct. 9 preseason game between Atlanta and Indiana in Alabama to the American Red Cross Liberty Disaster Relief Fund and the American Red Cross' Alabama Gulf Coast local chapter.
