NEW YORK, Feb. 23 -- The Miami Heat's Dwyane Wade and Los Angeles Lakers' Kobe Bryant today were named the Eastern Conference and Western Conference Players of the Week, respectively, for games played Tuesday, Feb. 17 through Sunday, Feb. 22.

Bryant, Wade led their respective teams to undefeated weeks.

Wade led the Heat to a perfect 3-0 record for the week, averaging 27.0 points to go along with 4.3 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game.

Bryant averaged 33.5 points on .598 shooting, 6.5 rebounds, 7.5 assists and 2.50 steals per game, leading the Lakers to a 4-0 record for the week.

Here is a closer look at the week for Wade and Bryant:

Dwyane Wade, Miami Heat

  • Feb. 17 vs. Utah: Tallied 31 points on 8-of-13 shooting from the floor while adding, four rebounds as the Heat defeated the Jazz 97-85.
  • Feb. 20 vs. Atlanta: Had 22 points and seven assists as the Heat defeated the visiting Hawks 125-92.
  • Feb. 21 vs. Denver: Had 28 points and seven rebounds in a 97-81 win over the visiting Nuggets.

    Kobe Bryant, Los Angeles Lakers

  • Feb. 17 vs. Portland: Recorded 31 points, 10 assists and eight rebounds and two steals in an 89-86 win over the visiting Trail Blazers.
  • Feb. 18 at Golden State: Had 35 points, eight assists, six rebounds and two steals in a 100-99 road win over the Warriors.
  • Feb. 20 vs. Philadelphia: Scored 28 points and had seven assists, five rebounds and three steals as the Lakers defeated the Sixers 116-88.
  • Feb. 22 at Phoenix: Tallied 40 points, seven rebounds, five assists and three steals in a 104-92 win over the Suns.

    Other nominees for Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week were Detroit's Ben Wallace, Houston's Yao Ming, Los Angeles Clippers' Elton Brand, Minnesota's Kevin Garnett, New Jersey's Richard Jefferson, New Orleans' Jamal Mashburn, Orlando's Tracy McGrady, Sacramento's Vlade Divac and Toronto's Donyell Marshall.
