NEW YORK, Dec. 1 – The New York Knicks’ Dikembe Mutombo and the Denver Nuggets’ Voshon Lenard were today named the Eastern Conference and Western Conference Players of the Week, respectively, for games played Monday, November 24 through Sunday, November 30.

Mutombo helped New York to a 3-1 record during the week by notching a double-double (points/rebounds) in each of the Knicks wins. He also averaged 3.25 blocks per game including a season-high five on November 29 vs. New Orleans.

Lenard paced Denver to a 3-0 record this week by averaging 21.3 ppg on .500 (23-46 FGA) shooting including 10-19 3PT FGA (.526).

Dikembe Mutombo, New York Knicks
November 24 at Boston – Had 13 points while adding 12 rebounds and four blocks, which enabled him to pass Patrick Ewing for fifth on the all-time shot block list, and win 94-88 against the Celtics.
November 26 at Minnesota – Tallied 18 points, 17 rebounds, two assists and two blocks to secure a 97-92 victory over the Timberwolves.
November 29 vs. New Orleans – Had 13 points, 12 rebounds, five blocks and two steals in a 79-74 win over the visiting Hornets.

Voshon Lenard, Denver Nuggets
November 25 vs. Phoenix – Recorded 16 points and two assists in a 110-80 win over the Suns.
November 28 vs. Dallas – Had 22 points including 5-7 3PT FGA and five rebounds in a 113-103 win over the visiting Midwest Division leading Mavericks.
November 29 at L.A. Clippers – Scored a game-high 26 points (11-17 FGA, 3-6 3PT FGA) while adding four rebounds and a steal in a 98-86 victory over the Clippers.
