NEW YORK, Nov. 18 –
Indiana’s Ron Artest
and Seattle’s Rashard Lewis
today were named the Eastern Conference and Western Conference Players of the Week, respectively, for games played Monday, Nov. 11 through Sunday, Nov. 17.
Artest averaged 20.3 points on 63.9 percent shooting (23-for-36) with 4.7 rebounds, 4.7 assists, 2.0 blocks and 1.67 steals per game as the Pacers went 3-0 this past week, stretched their winning streak to seven games and now have the best record in the Eastern Conference at 8-1.
Lewis, who scored a career-high 37 points in a 101-95 win at Washington last week, helped lead the Sonics to a 3-0 week and first-place in the Pacific Division averaging 23.0 points on 69.0 percent shooting (29-for-42) with 8.0 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 2.00 steals.

|Nov. 12 vs. Cleveland – Posted a game-high 22 points, going 9-for-10, including 2-for-2 from three-point range and 2-for-2 from the free throw line. Also had four rebounds, three assists, three blocks and one steal in a 95-75 win over the Cavaliers.
||Nov. 12 at Washington – Scored a career-high 37 points hitting 16-for-19 from the floor as the Sonics defeated the Wizards 101-95 in Washington. Lewis also recorded seven rebounds and three assists.|
|Nov. 15 vs. Milwaukee – Scored 22 points, dished out a season-high seven assists, grabbed four rebounds, notched three steals and had two blocks in a 103-100 OT win against the Bucks. Scored seven of the Pacers’ 11 points in the extra session including a dramatic three-point play with 13.1 seconds to put Indiana up for good.
||Nov. 15 vs. Sacramento – Scored 16 points with six rebounds, a season-high four steals and three assists in a 111-97 win over the Sacramento Kings in a battle for first-place in the Pacific Division.
|Nov. 16 at Minnesota – Scored 17 points, grabbed six rebounds and four assists as the Pacers extended their winning streak to seven games.
||Nov. 17 at L.A. Clippers – Posted 16 points, a team-high 11 rebounds, two assists and one block in the Sonics’ 84-78 victory over the Clippers|
