Washington Wizards guard Michael Jordan
and Dallas Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki
today were named the Eastern Conference and Western Conference Players of the Week, respectively, for games played Monday, Dec. 30, 2002 through Sunday, Jan. 6, 2003.
Jordan averaged 22.3 points, 8.0 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 2.25 steals per game as the Wizards recorded a 3-1 record last week.
Nowitzki averaged 29.7 points, 10.7 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 2.33 blocks and 1.33 steals per game in leading the Mavericks to a 2-1 record.
