NEW YORK, Dec. 2, 2002 – Philadelphia 76ers guard Allen Iverson and Phoenix Suns guard Stephon Marbury today were named the Eastern Conference and Western Conference Players of the Week, respectively, for games played Monday, Nov. 25 through Sunday, Dec. 1.

Iverson averaged 32.3 points on .449 shooting (44-for-98 from the field) with 4.8 assists, and 2.5 steals as the 76ers went 4-0 last week to stretch their winning streak to seven games and now have the second-best record in the Eastern Conference at 14-4.

Marbury, who scored a season-high 43 points in a 94-87 win against San Antonio last week, helped lead the Suns to a 3-1 week and a 7-2 record at America West Arena, averaging 24.5 points with 8.0 assists, and 2.8 assists.

Nov. 25 vs. New Orleans -- Posted a game-high 29 points going 11-for-20 from the floor and 7-for-9 from the free throw line. Also had four assists, three rebounds and one steal in a 108-87 win over the Hornets. Nov. 25 vs. Milwaukee -- Scored 11 points and dished out 12 assists as the Suns defeated the Bucks 86-81.
Nov. 27 vs. Miami -- Scored a game-high 36 points, while dishing out five assists and collecting three steals in a 83-74 win vs. the Heat. Scored 13 of the 76ers’ 21 points in the fourth period. Nov. 27 vs. New Jersey -- Scored 12 points with nine assists, five rebounds and three steals in a 82-75 win over Jason Kidd and the New Jersey Nets.
Nov. 29 at Cleveland -- Scored 29 points, a season-high-tying seven assists, three rebounds and three steals in a 106-99 win vs. the Cavaliers. Scored 12 of his 29 points in the third period and made two steals in the final 1:24 of the game to secure the victory. Nov. 29 vs. San Antonio -- Scored a season-high 43 points (18-for-34 shooting, 5-for-5 from the line) with five rebounds, five assists and three steals in a 94-87 win over the San Antonio Spurs. Marbury’s 43 offset a 31-point, 15 rebound performance by the Spurs’ Tim Duncan.
Nov. 30 at Washington -- Scored 35 points (12-for-27 shooting, 11-for-13 from the line) with three assists and three steals as the 76ers extended their winning streak to seven games with a 95-94 victory over the Wizards. Nov. 30 at Golden State -- Scored 32 points (14-for-30 from the field, 3-for-5 from the line) with six assists, five rebounds and four steals in a 100-90 loss at Golden State.
