The Milwaukee Bucks' Michael Redd
and the Minnesota Timberwolves' Kevin Garnett
were today named Eastern Conference and Western Conference Players of the Month, respectively, for games played during the month of January.
Redd's Bucks and Garnett's Timberwolves are two of the NBA's toughest teams to beat when they're playing at home.|

Redd averaged 22.4 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.9 assists over 36.7 minutes per game while leading the Bucks to an 11-5 record in January. He scored a career-high 40 points twice during the month, and is averaging career-highs of 22.1 ppg (8th in the NBA), 5.1 rpg and 1.04 spg.
Garnett averaged 23.8 points, 14.7 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 1.67 blocks per game while leading the Wolves to a 12-3 record, the most wins for the month of January in team history. During the month he recorded 14 double-doubles (point/rebound) and one triple-double (point/rebound/assist), and scored 20 or more points in 12 of 15 games. Garnett leads the NBA in rebounds per game (14.0) and total rebounds (645).

Jan. 7 vs. Phoenix: Had 23 points, five rebounds, five assists and two steals in a 95-87 win over the Suns.
Jan. 21 vs. Orlando: Scored a career-high 40 points with five rebounds, four assists and two steals over 42 minutes in a 113-102 win over the Magic.
Jan. 28 at New Orleans: Matched his career-high with 40 points and added nine rebounds, two assists and two steals in a 101-100 loss to the Hornets.
Kevin Garnett, Minnesota TimberwolvesJan. 10 vs. Miami: Had a game-high 28 points, 17 rebounds, six assists and two blocks in an 83-77 win over the Heat.
Jan. 19 vs. New Orleans: Had a game-high 29 points, 15 rebounds, seven assists, two steals and a block in a 97-90 victory over the Hornets.
Jan. 26 at Denver: Scored a game-high 31 points with 13 rebounds, a season-high four steals, two assists and a block in a 97-95 win over the Nuggets.
Jan. 28 at Golden State: Recorded a triple-double with 20 points, 20 rebounds and a season-high 10 assists in a 97-90 loss to the Warriors.
