What to Watch

Amr Abdelhalim has the ability to score in bunches and could be a breakout candidate in the group stage. The 31-year-old is one of Egypt’s veteran leaders who has experience playing with the national team dating back to the 2014 World Cup. In 12 African Qualifiers games, he averaged 12.6 PPG, and in Egypt’s final qualifying game against South Sudan, Abdelhalim dropped 42 points, the most points in a single African Qualifiers game and second most in World Cup Qualifiers history.
