Spurs’ Parker Able To Turn Game Around – Quickly
In USA TODAY, Greg Boeck writes “in a calm timeout huddle midway through the second quarter, the Spurs coach quietly preached patience to his struggling team and told Tony Parker to get aggressive. The Spurs point guard was all ears, even if he did act rather quickly. Parker came out of the timeout and turned Game 1 of the NBA Finals around in a dizzying, 58-second blur of basketball brilliance. The skinny but fearless Frenchman hit a driving layup and a jumper, threaded a pinpoint pass to Francisco Elson for a three-point play and fed Tim Duncan for a dunk. The 9-0 blitz turned a three-point deficit into a six-point lead.”
