The Oklahoma City Thunder are finally finding ways to win following a terrible three-season stretch. Kevin Durant's record scoring run certainly isn't hurting.

Durant, who has tied a franchise mark for consecutive 30-point games, leads the Thunder as they attempt to extend their winning streak to six for the first time in five years in a matchup with the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday night.

With an 87-86 victory over Utah on Thursday night, the Oklahoma City franchise won five straight for the first time since March 18-25, 2005. The last time it won more than five in a row was in November 2004, when Seattle had a nine-game streak after losing its season opener.

"We're finding a way to win games," said Nick Collison, who made the tying and go-ahead free throws with 4.5 seconds left. "We've been talented for a long time and now we're finding a way to win even when we don't play well."

Collison has been with the franchise since 2004-05, enduring three straight seasons in which the Thunder (18-14) had winning percentages below .380. The veteran forward is a key part of a bench that hasn't been needed for much scoring with Durant carrying most of the load.

Durant is coming off his sixth straight 30-point game, tying the franchise record set by Spencer Haywood in January 1972. The third-year forward, averaging 34.0 points during his scoring run, has the Thunder tied with the Jazz for eighth place in the Western Conference.

"It's early, man. We're just hitting the new year. Anything can happen in these next three or four months," Durant said. "We've just got to continue to play our brand of basketball and get better and worry about us."

Durant had 33 points, 12 rebounds and five assists in his first matchup with Milwaukee (12-18) this season, a 108-90 Oklahoma City win Nov. 27. Milwaukee shot 37.8 percent in that contest.

The Bucks have been held under 40 percent shooting three times during a four-game losing streak, and have lost seven of eight following a strong start. They shot 39.2 percent (38 for 97) in a 117-92 loss at Orlando on Wednesday night.

Milwaukee is also struggling defensively during its skid, giving up 108.0 points a contest.

Center Andrew Bogut and the Bucks' frontcourt twice disrupted alley-oop dunks by Orlando's Dwight Howard, but Milwaukee coach Scott Skiles wants his team to be more active. The Magic ended up shooting 55.8 percent (43 for 77).

"We needed some more resistance out of Andrew," Skiles said.

Bogut had 15 points and 10 rebounds following one of the worst games of his career, posting two points on 1-of-6 shooting in a 94-84 loss to Charlotte on Monday night. He missed this season's first matchup with Oklahoma City due to a leg injury.

Redd, Ridnour lead Bucks past Thunder in OT

MILWAUKEE (NBA.com exclusive) -- First the Milwaukee Bucks solved their Kevin Durant problem from the first half.

Then they solved their problem with finishing close games.

Michael Redd and Luke Ridnour each hit two huge baskets in overtime as the Bucks outlasted the Oklahoma City Thunder, 103-97, Saturday night at the Bradley Center.

The Bucks snapped a four-game home losing streak, and Oklahoma City saw its five-game winning streak end.

Durant led all scorers with 31 points, topping 30 points for the seventh-straight game. But he managed just 10 of them after the half and just two in the fourth quarter and two in overtime as Milwaukee's Luc Richard Mbah a Moute did yeoman's work.

With the score tied at 88 in the closing seconds of regulation, Mbah a Moute and Hakim Warrick combined to force Durant so far from the basket that all he could attempt was a desperation throw from about 35 feet, forcing the overtime.

"He can score in a variety of different ways," Mbah a Moute said. "He's 6-10 and can shoot the ball real well and move real well, so it's always tough when you have to guard someone like that.

"I thought in the first half we kind of let him have his way a little bit. In the second half we came back and made a stand. Everybody worked together and guys were helping when I got beat. We just made plays defensively to win the game."

When the two teams met on Nov. 27 -- a 108-90 Thunder victory in Oklahoma City -- Mbah a Moute was out with a sprained left foot. This time he was a difference maker.

"He was very good on him (Durant)," Bucks coach Scott Skiles said. "I didn't necessarily think he was bad on him in the first half, and Durant had over 20.

"Luc had the freedom to just deny the ball from Durant and he did a nice job of that. He tried to deny him all over the floor and he made it difficult on him."

With Durant shut down, the Thunder scored just 24 points in the fourth quarter and overtime.

That allowed Redd to deliver a major impact with his team-best 27 points. He hit back-to-back 3-pointers in the opening minutes of the fourth quarter to turn a 74-71 deficit into a 77-74 lead.

Redd's 15-footer gave Milwaukee an 88-86 lead with 2:57 left, but Durant tied it with a 15-footer with 2:33 left.

Neither team scored again in regulation.

The Thunder (18-15) took possession with 22.2 seconds left and put the ball in Durant's hands. The Bucks had a foul to give, and Mbah a Moute fouled Durant well away from the basket with 4.8 seconds left.

With no timeouts left, the Thunder had to inbound from the side. Durant passed in to guard Russell Westbrook, who gave it back to Durant. But Warrick stepped up, and he and Mbah a Moute forced Durant well away from the basket.

In overtime, Redd hit consecutive jumpers with 6-7 Thabo Sefolosha in his face to give Milwaukee a 94-91 lead with 1:59 left.

Durant and Westbrook scored to give Oklahoma City a 95-94 lead with 1:24 left. After a timeout, Ridnour worked free for an 18-footer that gave Milwaukee a 96-95 lead.

"I think they kind of got confused if they were switching or not on the pick-and-roll," said Ridnour, who finished with 12 points. "I came off and they (Westbrook and center Nenad Krstic) both kind of left so I had an open shot and was able to knock it down."

After Sefolosha missed a 3-pointer, Andrew Bogut (23 points, 15 rebounds) scored on a jump hook and Westbrook brought the Thunder back to within one on an 8-footer with 33.9 seconds left.

Ridnour then drove the right side of the lane for a layup with 21.9 seconds remaining.

"We ran the same play and I could come off either way," Ridnour said. "I felt like he (Westbrook) was cheating a little bit so I took Andrew's screen."

After a timeout, Redd stole Sefolosha's inbounds pass, and Mbah a Moute split a pair of free throws with 14.6 left. When Durant missed a 3-pointer with seven seconds to play, the Bucks (13-18) had won for just the fifth time in their last 20 games.

"It was good to get a win," Bogut said. "We've been struggling lately and at least we can have our day off tomorrow with the feeling we've won a game."

Westbrook was a rebound shy of a triple-double with 17 points, 13 assists and nine rebounds, but he was the only Thunder player other than Durant in double figures.

"I'm proud of my guys' effort," Thunder coach Scott Brooks said. "On the road, making it a fourth-quarter game, and we had a chance to win it at the end. We just didn't make the plays down the stretch. But that's part of the game."
