EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., Oct. 25 (AP) -- Andre Miller scored 18 points to pace a balanced scoring attack, leading the Philadelphia 76ers to a 91-83 victory over the New Jersey Nets in a preseason game Thursday night.

The Sixers took command of the game in the second quarter, outscoring the Nets 30-20 to take a 57-50 halftime lead. Miller had 12 points and Willie Green added 11 of his 15 points in the first half for the Sixers.

Philadelphia increased the lead to double digits by outscoring New Jersey 21-10 in the third quarter to take a 78-60 lead into the final period. Andre Iguodala had seven of his 15 points in the third quarter, as the Nets shot only 22 percent (4 of 18) in the quarter.

The Sixers (2-5) then maintained the lead for the remainder of the game. Kyle Korver had 11 and Shavlik Randolph had 10 for the 76ers.

Bostjan Nachbar paced the Nets with 17 points and Richard Jefferson added 15, but he did not return after leaving in the third quarter. Jamaal Magloire added 14 for the Nets. Vince Carter scored 10 points in 26 minutes, but attempted just six shots.

The Nets played again without All-Star guard Jason Kidd, who has been nursing a strained lower back. However, Kidd worked out before the game and said that he was ready to play in the Nets' final preseason game against the New York Knicks Friday night.

The Nets (3-2) open the regular season Wednesday night at home against the Chicago Bulls.
