Miller scored 12 of his 22 points in the final 3:16 as the Sacramento Kings won their sixth straight home game, a hard-fought 104-96 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies. With the Kings holding a 90-89 lead with 3:16 remaining, Miller was whistled for his sixth foul by referee Gary Zielinski after he appeared to elbow former college teammate at Purdue and Grizzlies forward Brian Cardinal.

However, referee Violet Palmer interjected and - after all three officials convened - Miller was given a technical, allowing him to stay in the game, while Cardinal was assessed a personal foul.
"One (official) had one call, the other had another call," Cardinal said. "Who knows?"
Miller recalled how his first confrontation with Cardinal in the NBA was reminiscent of their college days.
"We battled at practice quite a few times," said Miller, who grabbed 10 rebounds in his return after missing three games because of a fractured right thumb. "(Former Purdue coach Gene Keady) would always ask if he needed to go get the boxing gloves. We should have used them about three times, at least."
Mike Miller tied the game by hitting the technical free throw before Brad Miller began his streak in which he scored the Kings' next 12 points with a pair from the line.
"I don't know what happened," Mike Bibby said. "All I can say is (Brad Miller) hit two big shots."
"You knew (Brad Miller) was going to come and play hard, that's what he's about," said Kings forward Ron Artest, who scored 18 and had three steals.
Brad Miller gave Sacramento the lead for good, 99-96, when he was was left alone by Cardinal and drilled a 3-pointer with 1:02 left and provided some insurance with another 3-pointer 30 seconds later, helping the Kings extend their longest home winning streak of the season.
"We're finally turning this thing around," Brad Miller said. "We're starting to get that energy back in the crowd."
"It's a tough cover because you've got to respect Bibby coming off screen-and-rolls and Ron Artest in the post," said Cardinal, who gave Miller the space needed to hit the crucial 3-pointers. "If Brad steps out there and makes those shots, that makes Sacramento a tough team."
Sacramento led by as many as 19 points in the first half but had its lead shaved to just 55-49 at the break. Former King Bobby Jackson, who was playing his first game here since being traded in the offseason, continued the rally by scoring 20 of his 22 points in the second half.
"It was hard to come back but I wanted to get the win more than anything," said Jackson, who was greeted with a standing ovation when he entered the game. "I wanted to come out and play well and I did that. We battled back, but we've got to find some way to get this thing turned around and start playing better."
Jackson's 3-pointer with 2:55 remaining gave Memphis a 93-92 edge with 2:55, but he was kept off the scoreboard thereafter as the Grizzlies lost for the 10th time in 13 games overall and 15th straight game here.
"We had a chance down the stretch," Memphis coach Mike Fratello said. "Unfortunately we had a critical turnover, so we didn't give ourselves a chance to shoot the basketball. (Brad) Miller hit a couple big shots for them and after that it's the end of the game."
