MILWAUKEE, Feb. 26 (Ticker) -- It's easy being a teammate of Shaquille O'Neal and Kobe Bryant.

Devean George, Robert Horry and Derek Fisher made big 3-pointers down the stretch, lifting the Los Angeles Lakers to their fourth straight victory, 99-89 over the Milwaukee Bucks.

O'Neal had 28 points and 13 rebounds and Bryant scored 27 points as they provided their usual 1-2 punch. But when the Bucks tried to swarm them late in the game, they found their teammates for wide-open shots.

"I like when teams double us and we kick it out to our guys and they make the shots," O'Neal said. "That's what it's gonna take to win the championship again."

"Their role players were who hurt us the most out there tonight," Bucks forward Tim Thomas said. "Shaq and Kobe will get their points every night, but it's the role players you have to keep from hurting you."

George, who scored 10 points, capped an 8-0 surge with a 3-pointer that gave the Lakers an 84-77 lead with 7:08 remaining. Horry, who scored eight points, and George made 3-pointers to widen the advantage to 92-81 with 4 1/2 minutes to go.

"Everybody knows who the ball's going to -- Kobe or Shaq," George said. "We work the double-team, swing the ball, get open and hit the shots we're capable of."

"You get looks anyway, but it's important to hit the open shot," Horry said.

Milwaukee closed to 94-89 on two free throws by Glenn Robinson with 2:43 to play. Fisher, who scored 15 points, responded with a 3-pointer for an eight-point lead with 2 1/2 minutes left, and the Lakers held the Bucks scoreless the rest of the way.

"I thought they were going to get momentum, but we hit some big threes," Lakers coach Phil Jackson said.

"Their role players hurt us in two different stretches tonight," Bucks coach George Karl said. "Devean George and Fisher hit threes in the first stretch that hurt us. We tied the game in the second half and they hit big threes again."

Sam Cassell had 21 points and 10 assists for the Bucks, who had a three-game winning streak snapped. Glenn Robinson scored 19 points and Ray Allen added 15, but both scorers were shut down for a half. Robinson did not have a basket in the first half and Allen was blanked from the field in the second half.

"We knew this was the type of team with the three guys that they have that can heat up and we just tried to to slow at least one or two of those guys down and we did that," O'Neal said.

Cassell's 3-pointer gave Milwaukee its first lead of the second half at 77-76 with 9:20 remaining. O'Neal, who was 10-of-17 from the line, made three free throws and Bryant hit a jumper before George's 3-pointer began the barrage.

Thomas scored 17 points and Anthony Mason added 14 and nine rebounds for Milwaukee, which shot 47 percent (31-of-66) and held a 41-34 edge on the glass. Los Angeles shot 45 percent (36-of-80) and committed just five turnovers.

Fisher and George made 3-pointer in an 11-3 surge that closed the second quarter and gave the Lakers a 57-46 lead. Bryant scored 17 and O'Neal 15 in the first half.
