About Arnoldas Kulboka
Arnoldas Kulboka is an excellent spot up shooter with budding scoring ability coming off a strong showing in his first full season competing against high-level competition. Emerging as a prospect very early on in his native Lithuania thanks to his combination of size and perimeter skill, Kulboka spent most of the last two seasons with German club Brose Bamberg playing primarily for their U19 and second team. After declaring for the 2017 NBA Draft and attending the Eurocamp, Kulboka opted to withdraw late in the process. He built quite a bit of momentum last summer averaging 13.7 points and 3.9 rebounds per game at the 2017 FIBA U19 World Championship and was then loaned to Orlandina of the Italian 1st Division. Stepping into a significant role for the Champions League qualifiers, Kulboka averaged 9 points and 4 rebounds per game putting together several stellar offensive performances while also making his Lithuanian Senior National Team debut in the February FIBA qualifying window.
- Measured 6’10 in shoes with a 6’11.25 wingspan and 213-pound frame at the 2018 NBA Global Camp. Not very long for his height, but has packed on about ten pounds since last year and has tremendous size for a perimeter player. Fluid athlete who has room to continue getting stronger.
- Skilled all-around offensive player with a finesse-based game. Did the majority of his damage as a set shooter at the professional level, but showed some ability to create his own shot off the dribble at the junior level with nice footwork and even the occasional crafty ball handling move. Played significant minutes on the nights he ran hot, but is still trying to find the confidence to make a consistent impact against high-level competition.
- Showed a bit of development as an on-ball defender, but has room to become more aggressive as his body matures. Size helps him contest shots in spots. Allowed 0.405 points per Isolation possession[95th percentile], but was targeted at times in the Pick & Roll by more aggressive scoring wings. Has some instincts in the passing lanes, but is not always quick to the ball on the glass.
