  • Great finisher
  • Bouncy athlete
  • 3-point threat
  • Strong

2013-14 Season

Ejim made numerous All-America teams but was also on the Academic All-America first team. He was voted the Big 12 Player of the Year and was a repeat winner of the Big 12 Scholar-Athlete of the Year award. In leading Iowa State to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA tournament, he became just the fourth player in Big 12 history to rack up more than 1,500 points and 1,000 rebounds in a career.

Key statistics: 17.8 ppg, 8.4 rpg, 1.8 apg, 1.2 spg, 2.3 tpg, 32.1 mpg, .505 FG, .346 3PT, .761 FT

Cool statistic: Ejim was the only player in a BCS conference to average at least 17 points and eight rebounds while shooting at least 50 percent from the field and 34 percent from 3-point range.

What Insiders Say

Iowa State coach Fred Hoiberg

“He's been a dream to coach. He comes to work every day.”

What Outsiders Say

Oklahoma coach Lon Kruger

“Every time you watch him on film, it seems like he’s doing that [22 points, 16 rebounds in a win over the Sooners]. He’s a really good player. Very versatile. Tough matchup. Rebounds the ball like crazy. He’s a great player.”
