Strengths:
* Great athlete
* Explosive finisher
* Well-rounded game
* Improved his 3-point shooting
Weaknesses:
Needs to be consistently aggressive
Not a great rebounder
NBA projection:
Joseph has been projected by some draft analysts as a second-round pick. Others don’t see him getting drafted. He’s got size and explosiveness needed to play at the next level, but he’ll have to bring his best consistently as he goes through individual workouts in order to impress an NBA team enough to draft him.
2011-12 Season:
Joseph earned second-team All-America honors from the NABC after leading Syracuse in scoring. He was also selected as one of 15 finalists for the Wooden Award.
Key statistics:
13.4 ppg, 4.7 rpg, 1.51 apg, 1.5 tpg, 1.4 spg, 0.6 bpg, 32.2 mpg, .421 FG, .345 3PT, .745 FT
Cool statistic:
Joseph, who’s from Montreal, became the first Canadian to earn first-team All-Big honors this season.
Reminds me of:
Wilson Chandler
What Insiders Say:
Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim
"He’s come up big lately. I think he’s starting to be more aggressive in every game. We need him to be aggressive and to be there for us. He’s huge."
Syracuse guard Kris Joseph
"With the team that we have, I don't have to come out here and average 20 points a game because we have scoring coming from so many different places. I'm doing well, I think, in my eyes. It's been working out for the team's sake."
