Sean Kiely begins his 14^th season with the Trail Blazers in 2022-23. As the team’s Basketball Strategy Analyst since March of 2022, Kiely works closely with the team’s basketball operations staff on salary cap management and roster planning. He previously served as Portland’s Scouting Manager since 2009, performing a number of scouting duties focused primarily on the NBA and the NBA G League. Kiely, who began his tenure with the Trail Blazers as a corporate sponsorship intern in 2008, moved on to an internship in the basketball operations department in 2008-09 before being hired full time. A native of West Linn, Oregon, Kiely graduated from the University of Oregon, where he studied Economics and Business. Kiely resides in Tigard with his wife, Ashley, and son, Luca.
