Call Of The Game: Showtime In Overtime

The voice of the Trail Blazers, Brian Wheeler, delivers the Call of the Game.

Every game has a turning point. When the Trail Blazers squared off against the Bucks Tuesday night in the Rose City, the turning point didn't occur until overtime. Portland clung to a two-point lead with just 2:29 remaining in the extra session before Wesley Matthews made the game-changing play. Like a great defensive back baiting the quarterback into an interception, Matthews jumped Nate Wolters' pass, which was intended for fellow point guard Brandon Knight, and raced down the court where he dropped a perfect behind-the-back pass to Damian Lillard. Once the pass reached Lillard, the Slam Dunk participant finished a one-handed dunk in emphatic fashion. While the play resulted in just two points, the Trail Blazers rode the wave of momentum to a 120-115 victory over the Bucks.
