Heading into halftime the Trail Blazers led the Bulls by 11, 47-36, in what appeared to be another grind-it-out slugfest against one of the NBA's best defensive teams. But something got into the visitors from the Pacific Northwest. Portland blitzed Chicago in the opening 2:38 of the third quarter, outscored their counterparts 13-2, and extended their lead to 22. Rip City's run was capped by none other than Wesley Matthews. Portland's Iron Man received the feed from Damian Lillard before splashing home his only trifecta of the night. Behind the second half burst, the Trail Blazers would end their five-game road trip with a 91-74 victory over the Bulls.
