Layman, Quarterman Averaging Double Figures in D-League Stint

The Windy City Bulls fell to the Long Island Nets, 117-109, Wednesday afternoon, but Trail Blazers rookies Jake Layman and Tim Quarterman continue to make an impact while getting work in at the D-League level.

Starting at small forward, Layman netted a new D-League personal high with 23 points, shooting 9-of-18 from the field, to go with six rebounds in the loss to Long Island. In the backcourt, Quarterman scored 12 points on 6-of-13 shooting and registered eight assists, highlighted by a driving dunk.

Layman is averaging 17 points and eight rebounds in three games since being assigned to Windy City on January 24. Quarterman was re-assigned to the Bulls on January 29 after nursing a sprained left ankle, and is averaging 12.3 points and seven assists in a total of four games in the D-League this season.
